It revealed one of two things, you can choose your answer.
1. We don't have as much talent as Rutgers. Let that sink in for a moment. Yes, as things stand right now, today, we don't.
2. Assuming 1 isn't true, then we have an even worse problem. The coaches don't know who to use, how to use them, develop what they've got, and execute a winning game plan. That was an exercise in futility tonight.
Specifics don't matter, but the future doesn't look bright. There are too many holes to fill with a bunch of one year rental mercs that'll come in, even if we knock it out of the park there. It's also too much to ask for the new class to contribute much.
One return question for you. Who looked like an elite player out there tonight for us? This team is a looooong way from where we want it to be. It starts at the top and there's a big disconnect between it and the players.
I'm not kidding when I say this, but there's a lot of high schools teams that are better coached than we are.
