Sam bruce doesn't fit your narrative because he was disciplined twice. You think if Manziel was only suspended a couple times in college he would have did well in the NFL?

You like to state coincidence as fact. So do you think it is a coincidence that the coaches that have the most lax attitude towards discipline produce the most NCs? Jimbo, Dabo, Meyer, and Saban?

I clarified in a later comment. Yes, it is good to discipline janitors and other easily replaceable employees. However, you do not discipline people who are very difficult to replace.

Jeff Thomas is not easily replaceable. He is one of the better receivers in the league. This isn't like a janitor position that you can put out an advertisement and find a replacement in a few days.
