This isn’t true…..unless you use gorilla math for your tie-breaker like the ACC chose, a win gets you an auto-bid to the dance. That means something and Miami would take the scenario 10 times out of 10 right now.

To turn around and cry about losing in the opportunity or arguing that you shouldn’t be held accountable for losing or getting *****-slapped…..flies in the face of high-level competition and stakes. It’s a nonsensical argument.

Big 12 and ACC teams aren’t going to get that benefit so we shouldn’t have the same tiebreaker rules. It doesn’t matter when or what year, those two conferences will always get the benefit of the AP rankings because of the almighty . We’re ****ed if we don’t leave this league ASAP.

I saw someone post on twitter that conference championship game losers have dropped an average of 2.7 spots in the CFP era. Normally I would say that should put us in but I would also say that you shouldn’t move up if you survive against auburn like bama did. Who knows? That’s the problem with the committee. As much as I want to believe we’ll be in a “super conference”, I don’t think that’s guaranteed. The SEC/BIG seem content benefiting from this system who favors them. Why change it? Some say we’ll bring revenue and that might be true, but is it enough? If we truly want in, we need to get that ball rolling now if we haven’t already. The ACC will crumble eventually, hopefully sooner rather than later. Some whacky theories of us forming an entirely new conference with some of the other big brands who can’t get in or are unhappy with where theyre at (USC) doesn’t seem so crazy as it once did.

It’s why the SEC and BIG dominate the playoff percentage now…..just moving toward the future. Do we really have the backing financially because I just don't see it especially as a private school. We do deserve to be in over ND though
