So for absolutely no reason

We should have won those games but those are not bum teams. We need to be accountable, sure, but not more accountable than anyone else.
Those teams are really trash bro…watch the tape. UM made it easy for them, just because they have a couple decent guys don’t make them good. UM was clearly out coached…Louisville beat them with a drag route and Beck had one of his Van Dyke games…SMU was ready to quit and the playcalling became more conservative than a lifelong Bama fan. Don’t boost mid teams because they beat UM.

Didnt the Wario warriors say that who cares that Fat Wario went into a shell, everyone knows we dominated ND.

If only we had an actual smart fan base mayve we would have a smart coach. If we blew out ND, we would be ahead of them
100% this, as pointed out at time, that entire mindset would get us clipped during the season. That philosophy has soo much ramifications because it gave opposing team ammunition to discredit win as close hard fought on road AND it validated to coaches they could sit on lead and A hole their way to wins by turtling up the entire season. ( that was the game plan essentially)

It was frustrating at the time because some pointed it out and were told it doesnt matter, then when we get clipped they are confused what happened.. ******* ridiculous. Now we are at end of season with these far out scenarios and complaining because of how we chose to play.

Nick redeemed himself talking about wins should matter more than losses and then him and Mcaphee talking about Miami stubbing their toe and it’s hard to get up for 12 games in a row. That said the segment on ND was bs. 3 ranked games 1-2 record and they gave up 31 a game.
Hopefully ND gets blown the **** out first playoff game

They should make nd join a conference. If winning a conference matters or playing in the conference champ game matters that much.

Miami isn't getting the benefit of the doubt from these clowns, which is why you can't afford to drop games you're double digit favorites in.

Also, it hurts more when your losses are in the middle of the season as opposed to the first game.

Sorry for being a realist.
We are known November choke artists

The hypocrisy annoys me but we will see what happens if we impress these last two games especially Pitt

We gotta flip a Mario trend. It feels telegraphed by the committee to me but maybe I’m totally wrong I dunno

I’m a realist too. I don’t see a path for us to get in. My thing is I’m not ok with saying we can’t afford to do the types of things other programs do and still get in. We need to continue to point out the hypocrisy and *****

2 things can be true.

- Rigged system. ND apologist

- Miami/MC can’t lose late in the year to teams they should beat. And if they do then…

We all know the ACC has been viewed poorly. Gotta be undefeated in ACC to get any semblance of respect. We haven’t done it. Not sure what the expectation is after.

We should absolutely have beaten them.

But I’d also say both of those teams would beat FsU right?

Bama lost to fsu.

I don’t see anyone associated with Bama saying they should have won that game and don’t deserve to be in.

Gameday does a 5 minute spot with Saban about how the notre dame defense has improved from early in the season. They show an early season busted coverage vs A&M but there is no mention of Miami.

Mind you they play Syracuse today so rationally there is no reason to look at Notre dame since they will win by 30+. Total propaganda spot.

Concludes with Saban saying they are a strong playoff team.
I do think we caught them at the right time - that QB looks like a good'un and he was definitely held back against us.

That said we literally beat them so you can't talk your way around that.

I love their emphasis on ranked wins meanwhile everyone knows they sneak SEC & B10 teams into the top 25 to inflate their resumes. We may have lost to two "unranked" teams but both have winning records and we lost by a combined 9 points. Thats not bad losses those are respectable opponents. Ultimately finishing with same record as ND with a head to head W in any logical framework puts us ahead. End of story. Just win these last two games and lets get weird 🙌

It sucks, but UM brought this upon themselves…can’t lose to bum ACC teams and expect favor with the SEC/ND committee
Look at the ND wins. Their schedule is garbage. 3 of the teams they beat have FIVE combined wins.
If we played their schedule, CFP committee and ESPN talking heads would’ve already called us out.

You should actually play someone (looking at you Penn State) before being ranked.

You will never have 12 undefeated “perfect” teams in the CFP. When we played the best/toughest teams, we won.

We will have 3 common opponents (NC State, Syracuse, and Pitt) with ND and a H2H. We already beat NC State better than they did.

I’m trying to be optimistic…

Because bama lost to fsu. Otherwise his story would be different.
Yep. We readily wean comments we think are favorable to us, but they play chess with their comments. Always need to look deeper or the other shoe to drop.

This is all the cumulative result of:
-Mario's constant and embarrassing losses to teams we're way better than (6 losses as a 2 TD favorite)
-Mario's embarrassing November record (they expected him to lose again when they ranked us #18. We all expected it. He still might)
-Mario's embarrassing record in the ACC (5-4 in the last 9 ACC games)
-The ACC's embarrassing performance in the playoffs last year and out of conference in general
-The weakness of the ACC in general (B1G and SEC deserve 4 or 5 teams each and everybody else doesn't deserve more than 1 is how the SEC/B1G feel.)
-The failure to beat ND by more than 3 when we clearly controlled the game (the narrative has become "we beat them at home with a last second FG in a close game" instead of "Miami dominated ND and won by double digits")

Some of this is within our own control and some of it we can't do much about. Mario can only win the games and needs to realize that style points matter. If we won the ND game by 10+, we're probably ranked ahead of ND right now.
