So Feeley gets his hands on the new guys Wednesday.....

Being strong and in shape doesn't mean squat if your mind can't put it together.

BIngo!

Strength and toughness starts with a driven mind to work to your personal limits.

The prior/current team has a culture of entitlement and laziness.

Praying these new kids bring some real fire.... and it’s pathetic we fans are praying the high school kids are going to bring “toughness” to this pansy-*** ballerina team....

We’re looking right at you Jarren Williams..... (o)(o)

C'mon guys .. there was ONE upper classman on the OL, no **** they're not going to over power teams whether it's FIU or LA Tech. 18-19 vs 21-22 is a big difference

DING DING DING , SOLID AND TO THE POINT , IMPRESSIVE.

Even if we didn't have a strength coach and you knew you needed to get faster example you really knew your were slower then others. Is it rocket science to go to track practice and off to the side mimic the training or talk to the track coach for a speed training plan.

Back in high school we had nothing but part time teachers coaching , so if you wanted to get faster like me I mimicked the 100 yard sprint training off to the side then finally the coach invited me to take the outside lane and train with them even if they didn't want me I watch and train on my own.

WHY IS TAKING OWNERSHIP OF WINNING SO HARD ?

do u really think we were the only team that started two young guys??! Lol.

man, some of ya’ll reallllllllllly need to watch all of CFB, and maybe then u wouldn’t be so gullible to excuses.

Just a FYI, LSU top DB was a TRUE freshman and he was 5th in the nation in ints, on an island by himself w no over the top help. And no, that’s not an anomaly; when we played Wisc in 2017, when they mauled us, 3 of the 5 OLmen were underclassmen, 2 Sophomores & 1 RS Fr, and the RS Fr was the anchor. Lol.

Jeez Louise; my frat goes by the model, excuses is a tool of the incompetent, used to monuments of nothingness.....Look no further than Miami football, and fans aid and abet such incompetence.

Andrew Swasey >>>>> David Feeley

If this team had Swasey with the nutrition staff and whatever extra **** we have now that we didn’t have when he was our S&C Coach our team would be faster and stronger across the board.
regardless it’s undeniable that we’ve been a much slower team ever since Swasey was let go at UM.

You use to could get away with not being as fast bc teams were bigger but now speed is the name of the game and Swasey was the best one to develop it.
I don't mean for this to be a personal attack but this is one of the worst takes on this board I've ever seen.

I was fortunate enough to be involved a little bit in UM's S&C stuff many years ago (worked with basketball/soccer, not football) but met coach Swasey and had friends who worked with him as well. He was a nice enough guy but his knowledge of strength and conditioning protocols was about as archaic as you could get.

He has a degree in Sociology and couldn't pass the NSCA CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) test which many people thought would eventually become mandatory. It is a difficult test but any Director of S&C should know that stuff in their sleep.

His way of creating programs was embarrassing. He would come up with a workout, do it himself a few days before, and then based on how sore he was he would have the players do it the next day. So we have a man in his 40's making an entire collegiate football team do a workout based on how well he could do it.

He had basically no knowledge of proper warm-ups, conditioning, when athletes were overtraining or undertraining, injury prevention, energy systems, nutrition, biomechanics, etc. He was as "old-school" as it got which a lot of people around here think is a good thing, but any proper S&C coach knows that "old-school" means you're still living in the 70's and running a collegiate strength program like you're in Gold's Gym. A lot of our guys were complaining of shoulder pain because he was having them bench press 3x/week in-season. Dumb **** that he didn't know how to fix because "that's just what I've always done" and would blame the players for not being mentally tougher.

Ask any of the other strength coaches on this board if Swasey is held in high regard at all.

Is Feeley sticking with the same “Bullied by FIU” strength program?
It's so Miami to have the previous SC who wasn't even certified, finally fired and then trains zero to 2*s to be much more athletic, tough and hungry than than a squad finally over the 50% blue Chip ratio. LMAO that's what we get with another corch from Temple

Yep, asking Freshman to block seniors who have been in a college S&C program for multiple years ain't gonna be pretty. Especially when your Left tackle who is a project can't redshirt.

Spot on with the speed training. Problem is most coaches (S&C and position) don't understand this. Everything is "mental toughness" and copycat of what they learned "back in the day" which is mostly clueless.

You comparing the CB position to the OL shows you're pretty incompetent

Legit TWO starters were TRUE freshman. One enrolled in spring and one in the summer. Miss me with that BS.

Feely has been good I’d guess. I don’t have any issues with him. If a really coach took over and left him in charged I wouldn’t grab a pitch fork.

It’s hard to really separate what’s a strength problem and what’s a technique and effort problem.

Some of the guys seemed to get really good results under him.

But I’d say some of this has to do with the players we are bringing are we getting the physical freaks?

Do we have a hardworking culture?
