"Athletes" has become an overused and overblown term. I'd rather have "football players" and, right now, appears that Temple has more of those than we have. If you've seen the Owls this year, you know what I'm talking about. A UM-Temple game this past season woulda been a tossup.

Despite our wants, Diaz did nothing any different then most of us seek to do in our profession, climb the ladder and progress when your performance demands that or when the oppotunity comes calling. We should wish him well, he did what he was suppose to do for us (field a top defense and get recognized as top DC in order to land a HC job eventually)

I agree that Miami Temple might have been a game over the last couple of years. I take nothing away from Temple. They've done a ton over the past several years now.

I don't agree that "athlete" is necessarily overblown. In this case, for two reasons. First, it is true that if all your guys execute perfectly, and you have the perfect play call, you will be successful. I mean that is true right up until the other side also executes the perfect play call perfectly but with better athletes. Then you probably lose. Second, Diaz' defense largely relies on explosive plays and the real threat of explosive plays. Those tend to come from explosive athletes, though not always.

I'm sure most of us would like explosive-athlete-football-players. That's what we're supposed to get in South Florida, right?

He was offered the App St job first and turned it down. Temple offered a lot of cash from the rumors. If his salary went X's 4 can you blame him?

This program, being ruined by buffoons everywhere, at all levels, HC to AD to BoTs. We are centuries behind the Blabbergamas and the Clumpsums. Smh in utter disgust as to how it has come to this. **ck them all.
 
lol doubled his salary and get a HC gig, if this is a titanic, what was it when guys were going to Carol City, Kendall Boys club and demoted to a bunch of asst position jobs from here?
