Snelson

We Miami "fans" need to leave the kid alone. I swear if this is how we treat all the recruits, we may need to stop looking a golden and instead look at ourselves. He said we he has news (not bad news) and we immediately go crazy. We need to chill the **** out and just let him live life. Until he decommits from the U, we should treat him with the respect he deserves for committing to our school. I bet that if we show unwavering fan support to all our commits, we would have more/better ones. instead we act like the girlfriend who goes crazy when her man may have sorta hinted that he may be kinda wanting to do something that is not necessarily bad.

2016 is a while from now, but until Miami proves that it's the U, then this will happen. We wouldn't lose Matthew Thomas, Denver Kirkland, Alex Collins, Ermon Lane, Travis Rudolph, Travante Valentine, Dalvin Cook, Sony Michel, etc. if we were the U. These kids are old enough to know the 2001 team and they saw how on fire we were from 01-04...but what have we done lately? These kids don't want to see their draft stock fall and I don't blame them. Plus, Golden and staff have botched several high profile recruits who were on us just b/c we are Miami and we are in their backyard. We botched the Kirkland/Thomas deal. We botched the Valentine deal w/ Golden playing devil's advocate w/ PSU. We botched the Cook deal by not offering him until it was way, WAY too late. We botched the Rudolph deal by telling him he'll be a DB here when he wanted to play WR. We botched the Treon Harris deal by offering too late. We botched McFadden this year AND we're botching a legacy deal w/ Tim Irvin. I mean, we have no one, and I mean NO one to blame but ourselves regarding these recruits. Take the fan passion out of the equation for a moment...if you were a parent w/ a high caliber kid w/ a bright future, would you want him to play for a coach that's not known for player development and will compete to play in crappy bowl games???

Valentine was never coming to Miami, he barely even qualified for LSU what makes you think he was coming??? Rudolph wasnt our fault...we told him he was a ATH he could play both and he got mad...it has been on record that his father made him apologize to the staff because he tried to bash them and say we lied to him when we didn't. .... Cook always had a offer we were on him since day 1...Yearby is the one we didnt want at first until Coach Coley came to Miami thats when the focus shifted to him... Coley wanted Yearby at FSU when he was there to be his version of "Duke Johnson"... when Coley came, Yearby flipped to us....Kirkland was tryin to play the hat game and Coach Barrow was honest with him..he told him we didnt have many scholarships available and we wanted him to commit before signing day... he refused so we moved on... Thomas was all UM till he thought the coaches tried to do Kirkland wrong and it was not the case.... Ill agree with Harris but Dnt feel to bad cause of Kaaya. ... McFadden we offered him before Florida and FSU...he went on record sayin he wanted to leave home.. Irvin , I think will still be here..... 100% all facts....

Too much fact based logic, not enough emotional anti-Golden rambling

Not sure if this message has been passed around here, but looking through a recruits twitter and expecting to get an idea about their recruitment has never worked and still to this day doesn't work.

Actually lots of opinions most of which are wrong but carry on.

The thing that really helps 2016 is the early commitment of QB Jack Allison. QB's usually stick and with him in the bag, the skill guys are gonna wanna play with him. Now if we can get Gibson somehow this year then this class might get decent. Irvin and Johnson I think are coming but ya never know.

Scarlett is coming. If Walton stays in the '16 class then I think we can keep Williams, Cronkite, and Scarlett with Williams being an athlete playing reciever and running back. Cronkite only wants two running backs in this class so it's important that Walton maybe stays in his class. Williams seems to be on board with the athlete role.

Recruiting.. . trending up

Now if this ************ would fix the god **** defense, we might be able to recruit DT's

Cronkrite will not come here even if Walton doesnt reclassify. Irvin is as good as gone as well. I hate saying that last part, but from people around him and from what I know is that he does not like the staff at Miami.

In the end just ten pages of utter bull**** while ripping a recruit and a coach. Most of you need to get your hand of the keyboard and put them in your pants instead.

not many do

I hope you don't expect every recruit to love, or even like, the staff. To an extent, this is real life. I wish that every recruit we targeted loved the U, loved Miami, and love the staff, but that's just not realistic. Now if it keeps happening over and over again, then something needs to happen. Trust me, I want to get EVERYONE (enter gif here), but sometimes it's just not in the cards.

Enough do...
plenty of talented kids...no one school gets them all..or wants them all.

Just because we didn't get a top player doesn't mean we botched it. Just because we are Miami doesn't mean we should be getting every single recruit out of SoFL. Mathew Thomas clearly didn't want to be a Cane at all, so how did we ***** his recruitment up?
It's annoying hearing people say we ****ed things up and pointing at the top guys that we didn't get that had absolutely no interest in us. Stick to only pointing at the guys we actually should have gotten, like Sony Michel...

dude what are you talking about regarding Thomas...He threw up the U at all of his games, including the UA game. When we tried to punk Kirkland into signing w/ us then pulling his scholly, ****, even Ice was super upset w/ us. Like i said, take your Miami emotions out of it and think for a **** second. Coker burned bridges, Shannon burned bridges, Golden tried to build the bridges back, but for some reason focused on Jersey boys than our own boys. I don't know if you're a Goldie apologist or not, but many here thrashed golden for that 2013 class and we bum rushed him on the 2014 class as well. We questioned his recruiting ability and when reports came out that he wasn't own SoFla talent like that until late in the process, it became evident as to why. Stop blaming kids for the b.s job our staff is doing on and off the field. if we finish out strong and golden doesn't try to get another job elsewhere, then maybe, just maybe we can stop begging so much and kids will want to flock back here and rep their city instead of repping other cities.

To be fair, he threw up the 305, not the U

Recruiting isn't for the weak at heart. There are no locks and when a kid says they're commited you need to keep recruiting them until the NLOI is signed and delivered.

Wonder if something's up with Rumph. The Sony thing was beyond bizarre, kid had us leading since he was 3 years old. Gibson's hat trick was another eyebrow raiser. Now this? Just feels wrong. Snelson was as passionate after committing as it gets. 2 months later it's gone?

what trick did he do? I saw the video of Mcfadden's hat trick with UGA.

an I found this where Gibson said playing at miami was tough to pass up but he chose OSU cause they said he would get a shot at QB

Looks like the road to recovery has been easy for you. Getting mauled by a bear must of been tough. It's nice seeing you flood the board with videos, elaborate recruiting tales and other useless info.

@AKRivals: Just spoke with #Canes commit Dredrick Snelson and he strongly hinted he will flip this weekend. #FSU #Noles #Buckeyes

I don't get it
