Slow starts - It’s bad

One of the reasons I don't feel good about tonight. Fall behind on the road against a team that can grind and burn clock and it cuts down your possessions. Couple that with a pedestrian offense, astounding inability to get your playmakers the ball, and a QB that is inaccurate and wooo boy, got a nasty recipe brewing

Problem is he’s never done it and never will. He had a chance to step on FSUs throat and he relied on a shaky freshman kicker and he missed a short one. I’m sitting there watching Purdue who is up 20-6 midway through the 4th and they are pitching the pill around the yard like they were the ones who were down. Then on 3rd and long hits a quick run up the middle, surprises the world and bang house call, game. Richt would never do that and it’s frustrating as ****.

I agree with you, and it's the exact opposite of how Diaz calls games. Typically if your conservative on one side of the ball your going to find a coach who's also less risk-averse.

We also never seem to scheme the offense for the opponent, we run the same plays against Savanah st. as we did against FSU.

It's no wonder we are 5-5 over the last 10 games with stats like that. The game planning is **** poor... actually I don't think there is much game planning. We never do anything different regardless of what opponent we are facing. It's like we just go into every game running the same ****** offense and plays we ran the week before. No new wrinkles, no changes in play calling, no creativity in the run game, no making use of the middle of the field or the perimeter. Richt's offense is NOT WORKING!! When is he going to make some changes and try to put these players in a position to make some plays? I realize this offense is never going to be a Juggernaut with Rosier/Perry at QB and this OL, but I know we could do better with better preparation and play calling. This offense drives me nuts, I can't stand to watch the same crap week after week... It's almost as bad as having to watch Nofrio's defense.
Game planning is **** poor because he has three **** OCs on staff, and not one of them is a **** OC.

The key part is where he talks about how Purdue was throwing it around the field before that play and then made the call on 3rd and long, catching the defense off guard. Richt would call that type of play without any type of set up beforehand.
Bingo we have a winner. Everything was so spread out and the one defender who was 7 yards off the line of scrimmage wasn’t even looking at the line of scrimmage at the snap and the running back was by him before he even knew it was a run. Not playing results, watch the play again.

It was 4th and 10. 4th and 10. And you wanted him to go for it. You have got to be kidding me with some of these complaints.

hes a moron. in that FSU game, richt went for a ton of fourth downs, including 2 in the red zone. this dude is straight up idiot

Tell us again how Richt should have put FSU away on 4th and 10 instead of trying a field goal.

Dude you don’t get it. FSU had 10 people in the box on 1st, 2nd and 3rs down and sold out on the run. I’m not talking about going for it on 4th and 10. Sprinkle in a playaction here or there and run the TE in the flat. High percentage if anything the QB runs for no yards and the clock keeps moving. It’s little tho ya like that that you just don’t get. Watch a little more football, it happened all Saturday and Sunday. I don’t get how you are still defending Richt.

Two out of three plays from the 11 yard line were passes, so please tell us again how FSU "sold out on the run" and how we should all "watch a little more football".

  • 1st & 10 at FSU 11
(6:15 - 4th) Travis Homer run for no gain to the FlaSt 11
  • 2nd & 10 at FSU 11
(5:50 - 4th) N'Kosi Perry pass incomplete to Brevin Jordan
  • 3rd & 10 at FSU 11
(5:44 - 4th) N'Kosi Perry pass incomplete to Lawrence Cager

"RICHT DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO PUT THEM AWAY!!!!"

He threw into the end zone twice from the 11.

"UH, WHY DIDN'T HE RUN THE CLOCK!!!!!"

CIS gonna CIS.

at least watch the games before you comment. a simple ESPN play by play sheet would tell you you're wrong.

What about the series before? Run, run, run, punt. Story of his life.

you didnt talk about the series before. you talked about the series he attempted the field goal. continue moving the goal posts. richt also went for it on fourth and goal in the beginning of the game when it was only 7-0 instead of getting the points. richt does get conservative, but he actually went for it a lot on critical situations.

I believe I mentioned going for the throat when we had the lead. The very first series after the go ahead he calls run run run. That’s not going for the throat.

So the only way you can go for the throat is by passing on 3rd down after telling us how Purdue went for the throat by running on 3rd down?

You're funny.
