Look, it's fine if he wants to enjoy life a little, and a program CEO can do that. Just hire you a Matt Patricia type (from a creativity, nerd level, and work ethic standpoint) who will live in his office for 6 months a year to create, plan, and implement an offense that is better than "well, it worked 30 years ago".

Pass to set up the run? Sounds like how offense is in 2018 and not 30 years ago.

In three years Richt has been outscored 118-135 in the first quarter since Richt got here.

In 25 games we have failed to score more than 3 points in the first quarter in 16 of those games.

10 of those 16 we were skunked.

Another 3 of those we only scored 7.

Mind you some argue we play in the worst P5 division in college football with some of the worst defenses. If things haven’t changed by now, including scoring a combined 0 points the last two games in the first quarter, I don’t think they ever will.

This offense drives me nuts, I can't stand to watch the same crap week after week... It's almost as bad as having to watch Nofrio's defense.

We did do that little pitch play from the shotgun after the half vs UVA. UVA players were caught off guard and in shock that we actually tried something different lol.

Again weird that it’s soemthing other than a dive and it’s successful. Did anyone happen to tell Richt that they didn’t run that play 30 years ago?

Ritch and Paul Johnson are similar in one way. They will run their same offense no matter what defensive alignments the opponents are in. What's separates the two is Johnson makes adjustments to those defense's throughout the game. Ritch on the other hand makes no adjustments based of defenses alignments and strategy.

He just runs the same plays over and over thinking if this one guy would do his job, if the qb makes this read, or rb makes this cut the play will work. He repeats this process over and over whether we are up or down.
