He’s the lesser of my concerns. Still think you find one of the 330+ guys at guard or at RT and McCoy at GMax Buccanon really isn't that small. He's 6'4 310 and is going to be a good guard for us.

I’m not willing to go that far. We’ve had several guys leave here on the OL and go start elsewhere. After that Cici class they took a bunch projects and never developed them. It’s tough for people to hear

Agreed with you on more gap runs so far. Looking forward to watching this film as wake is a functional football team.Do you think we should run more gap scheme stuff with SJ pulling? Take advantage of his quickness. He had a great lead block on one against Wake. Seems to me like we are calling more gap scheme runs than last year so far.
I think we are going to see diminishing returns against better teams with our outside zone runs, because of what you highlighted here. Rodriguez got shoved into the backfield on an OZ to Pringle in the 4th too.
For a mario/mirabel ol, it’s surprising that they don’t put more of a premium on IOL in terms of fit. You could say only Buchanan is the only one playing a position he should be playing. Is Samson a LT in the pros, or is he more G/RT? McCoy isnt a RT. RR isn’t a center. SJ isn’t a OG. Cantwell isn’t a OG.Do you think we should run more gap scheme stuff with SJ pulling? Mensah is getting hit a lot more than our QBs got hit the last couple years, so I don’t know if I would say it’s been solid. I think if we didn’t have elite, elite Toney getting instant separation/finding the soft spot in zones the way he does, we might be complaining a bit more about the OL in pass protection too.Agreed with you on more gap runs so far. I think right now we are really struggling on blocking movement. People are just throwing everything at being too small but we are seeing communication breakdowns on stunts and games. Certainly needs to get cleaned up. The bright side is it’s baptism by fire so they’re seeing it now and hopefully executing later into the season. Pass pro has been solid this season.
i was gonna say do they not see Rodriguez get pushed back to raleigh durham on the play?Blaming the wrong guy here. Rodriguez gets ejected which stops the back on his outside zone track. Allows the lb to undercut the play.

What happened to that?
Any numbers on pressures/hits you’re referring? Not sure I agree on that just yet.Mensah is getting hit a lot more than our QBs got hit the last couple years, so I don’t know if I would say it’s been solid. I look at Mensah last year and it seems like he has more time than to let routes develop than he does this year. I think that’s also partially why we havent seen Barkate do a whole lot either.
