I don’t usually join in on the player bashing but SJ is trash..Even if he could snap as a center he’s still not good enough to be an olineman on this level.

I don’t see any other option but to move McCoy back to LG next to Samson.. at least that would clean up one side of your oline. Figure out the right side.

Center is different he may be able to play. Center bc he would usually be combo blocking. Now if we played a team with a NT he would struggle. I’m just out on him as a G

You're probably right, but I'd rather roll with a kid who's too big as opposed to a kid who is too underqualified.

Throw the puppies out there and let them learn how to swim. With all the raves we heard from camp about Wilkerson I wouldn't be opposed to throwing him in at guard either.

Yeah I’ve seen enough. I was at the game, and SJ looks worse in person than on TV. He was so bad it’s hard to believe they kept sending him back out there. I think McCoy is gonna have to kick back inside at some point and we figure out someone to play RT, probably Cantwell since that’s clearly his position. SJ just ain’t it.

We have no one else.. every time in offseason people said they were worried about setting the edge (LMAOOOOOOOOOO) I said I was more worried about the oline, everyone said mario and mirabal would fix it.. Im a mirabal guy, there is nothing you can do when you replace sooooo many guys and we dont have enough vet options, too many guys inside learning on job, sj is dam near unplayable..

I said it many times, no reason to cheap out after you spent 40 mil on roster and 6+ on qb.. cant pump fake on seaton to pay sj.. pay the extra million, you have no choice.. smfh..

my friend likes Wilkerson. Good thing is we have time for it to gem. SJ just doesnt look the part.

And for whatever it’s worth, I don’t think RR and Max are unplayable. Max can and will get better with time/reps, he graded decent yesterday in Ppro. RR is likely maxed out, but he looks worse because of SJ IMO. SJ is an issue though, and we won’t get anywhere close to where we want with him starting all year.

No clue because Cantwell started at Tackle all spring. So they viewed him as a top 3 tackle on the roster at that time. I’m not sure what’s changed.

I don’t blame them for going with McCoy at tackle to start but the interior OL has been an abomination and needs help. No way they are happy getting pushed around by Stanford and Wake.

I found it very weird. But out if the three possible answers I provided (your answer was no clue), I have to imagine the staff things hes not a capable OT rn. Otherwise, doesnt make sense to not give him OT snaps vs FAMU

Who was his competition at OT in the spring? (No Hawks, no Pancake) Maybe they wanted to give him a first look there.

And to counter your comment about maximize his reps at OG....they just didnt give him more snaps. He was dine playing, and Meriweather even got snaps at OT.
