Since we know AG is locked in...

Pretty sure Frost fcked his HC chances a bit with his media interviews at the CFB Playoffs. He was wound up tighter than a golf ball and stood out like a sore thumb in that whole process.

He came off like media obligations were a total nightmare to him and his social skills were at the bottom of the barrel. You can get away with that as an OC but not as a HC.

So who do you like than other than butch? I think Orgeron is a solid pick up.
 
The idea of kiffin is inticing to me but I could see it being a disaster at the same time. Guy is about as scum as they come lol I could see some sort of violation or scandal or whatever. But I'm at the point that I care about winning than I do ethics

Go look at Howard's resume. That's the type of hire we need to make. The program is dead, and it's going to take a guy of that level.

Kiffin, Orgeron, Cristobal, and Ice are all some of the stupidest ideas I have ever heard in my life of any team I root for. Jesus christ those guys are worse candidates than Coker or Golden was.

If you care about winning, why would you want Kiffin. His record as a HC is absolutely abysmal. ABYSMAL.

I swear people care more about how a coach looks and acts than his actual ability. See Golden, Al.

He also ****ed up when he showed that his system is a gimmick that can't grind out tough wins. Unless those guys are ahead from the get, they can't win.
 
Honestly we just need some one that has coaching Tree. You can't make another Coker or Randy hire where nobody is willing to leave the current situation to leave for Miami. Howard, Jimmy, Dennis and Butch all had assistant that rose up to become head coaches or top assistant after they left. Beside Chud, Fisch or Johnson the Hurricanes have not a had no one else that improved their current situation.

Orgeron would be worse than Golden? How? Would Fuente? We aren't going to drop 5mil a year on a coach so getting some big badass is not likely.

If I was a non traditional football power in a mediocre recruiting area I'd hate to have 8 losses in 5 years and 2 NC games. Terrible system and a pretty long lasting gimmick.
 
My hope is that the board of trustees and new head marxist (president) will hire someone who makes them feel just a little bit uncomfortable. That will tell me that they made a good hire.

Yep. They went to that system because they were losing 4 games per year trying to line up and play traditional football. Despite all the yacking about Phil knight and their facilities, they still can't recruit at an elite level.

People knock Oregon because they don't "win it all" ... But the ONLY reason Oregon is competitive is their system and their uniforms.

Without either, they're Oregon State ...
 
Ed Orgeron gets teams to play hard for him and he's a top notch recruiter. He is very well connected and even at Ole Miss he was able to put together a good staff. If Kiffin were hired he would definitely push to get Coach O on staff. Also If Orgeron or Kiffin were hired they would most likely keep Brennan Carroll around as recruiting coordinator for what it's worth.
 
Butch for HC and eventually AD. Let him coach for a few years and get things straightened out. Then he can pick an assistant that will take over for him. He can be AD then until he's ready to retire. Having him in charge of football for a decade will solidify us as a top program. Has to get along with Coach L, though. Don't want him going anywhere else and don't think he will.

Justin Fuente is 17-20 in his career.

It really is incredible how most fans chose a coach based on his ethnicity or how cool he looks. Truly pathetic stuff.
