Since posters are talking 'Bama...

My BIGGEST fear playing Bama is the same one every SEC team that plays them ...even though they have GREAT familiarity with Bama....some to the point they can predict Bama's next play with 90% certainly.

The problem playing Bama even if you be highly familiar with them is that they simply have better players than almost all of their opponents all of whom execute extremely well.

Beating them takes an Auburn like Iron Bowl game prep, motivation and playing effort...all game long. I'd be in Auburn right now learning how they prepare for Bama...they seem to consistently give them a good game regardless of their record.
It's called hatred.

What would you rather, we test ourselves against BCC or FAMU? We used to not cry about playing anyone, anywhere. It’s how the kids get to see how their progression is compared with the top dogs of college football. I’d rather we play against top competition than run from it. Will we beat Bama? Doubtful. Will it give the kids and the coaching staff measurable experience? Yes. Worst case scenario is we end up not only hanging but beating Nicky and his band of merry men. Again, doubtful, but stranger things have occurred on any given Saturday.

Thanks for writing a story on a sarcastic post

****, what is anyone's record against Bama? All I'm saying is that any first hand experience they can bring to the table is a plus, as opposed to only having film to watch.
Equally important is those coaches know what level their team needs to be at to have any chance of competing.

The Good news I like to focus upon is that they are starting a young QB who has never started a game, they have 3 new OL they are breaking in, they lost their best RB and best WR and they have a new OC.

The bad news is that they always reload their talent with 5 star players and Saban is the best when it comes to preparing teams with months to prepare.

I expect an UGLY game. Something like the first half of the LSU game if we are not careful but hopefully we make better adjustments and keep it close going into the 4th. As long as we do that we have a chance.

Everyone is rooting for the W. Just not everyone is blindly delusional and cool-aid slurpers.
Of course not, neither am I. We're obviously not going to be a favorite, but predicting catastrophic failure doesn't make a strong case for being a fan.

The best we can hope for is what everyone else said is keep it close and look like we belong. If we come out looking like we did against North Carolina, its going to be a long season. If we come out to play, I hope we at least give Saban a scare.

How can you be a fan and not root for the W?
Rooting hard for the dub but being logically realistic we have no chance. It would be a monumental upset in the history of cfb. Rooting hard but just being real.....it's like I was rooting for cotto vs floyd or canelo. I told the boxing gym of puerto rican slurpers he would lose. They said your not rican I'm like I just keep it 100. I go back after both L's and say u guys don't know the sport. Being realistic doesn't make u less of a fan....your just being honest while still rooting for your guys.

Those people aren't really fans. It's the sports equivalent of a destructive co-defendant relationship. Would be better for them and those around them if they just broke it off and went their separate way, but they're too invested and too scared to take that risk. After all, who else would ever want them? Sad stuff, really.
Who roots for a loss like seriously that's the dumbest **** I ever heard in my life. This is the game of all games we win this my dik falls off immediately from excitement. If we could win one game one fuqin game this has to be the pick for me.

If we have no chance, why play the game? We have the best at almost every position in the last 15 years.

We have a chance, maybe not greater than 50%, but at least as good as 90 of the teams they'll face in 2021.
