Since posters are talking 'Bama...

If we have no chance, why play the game? We have the best at almost every position in the last 15 years.

We have a chance, maybe not greater than 50%, but at least as good as 90 of the teams they'll face in 2021.
We obviously have a small percent chance. I just don't see it but it's possible nothing is impossible. I just think they have better and deeper talent. I can see what your saying but losing to UNC the way we did? I think I'd they played UNC week 1 alabama annihilates them. Jmo it's not truth till the game is played. Don't mean to upset anyone who gets upset at opinions.

Opinions dont upset people, constant team bashing does. Sure, we will probably lose, but dammit, I'm an alum and fan, so I'm not writing them off until the final seconds tick off the clock.

Otherwise, why watch the game?

Oh I'm watching it unless we get bent over. It hurts my heart to watch us get killed. I love the team that much. It's like someone smashin my wife in front of me and there isn't anything I can do about but just walk out the room. I have to walk out the room and not watch the canes get destroyed

Me too, brother.

I’m not an optimist or a pessimist. Realty is my lane. Not a slurper or a mope but consider myself somewhere in between.

The reality is we’ve got more experience and depth than we’ve had in some time. Year 2 in Lashlee’s offense with, hopefully, a full spring and fall practiSe session. Diaz calling the D with new credible coaches on that side of the ball

It’s early in spring practiSe and the reality is we’ve got a long way to go until we know what we’ve got. Can we beat Baga? I believe so. It’ll take our best effort from every part of the team - offense, defense, special teams, and especially, coaching.

Going back to my no excuses thread I created several months ago:

Bama is replacing a RS Jr starting QB, with a RS Fr QB

Bama is replacing their all time RB, with either a RS Soph, True Freshman, or a guy who couldn’t crack significant playing time

Bama is replacing the entire WR core of production from Ridley to Jeudy to Ruggs to the last parts, Waddle & Smith. The only returning guy w/ any significant snaps is Metchie

Bama is replacing 3 high end OLmen

Bama is losing their #1 CB, their #1 DLmen.

Bama is going to be rather green in our 1st game against them; oh, & they have new OC, too. We’ll be playing them on a neutral field. We’re returning dang near everyone, for the 1st time in yrs, and we’ll be wildly experienced across the board.

No excuses not to beat Bama, AT THE VERY LEAST, keep the score respectable & w/in range. If we get blown out.....well, this will tell us a lot about where we are as a program.

You're right in the same spot as 98% of the rest of us.

ALABAMEE ain't the lord. Syracuse beat CLEAMSON, FSU almost beat unc , we got killed by Syracuse under McNabb. What I'M saying, there is always hope and belief. We are the MIAMI HURRICANES. If Not stay home and stay QUIET under the covers.

They are greener than green on offense. They aren't going to be the same team we just saw.

If we played them last year, it’s more than likely a Clemson-UNC result. Your point about the team they’ll field this year should not be overlooked. Also, it’s both teams first game of the year and I think that gives us a bit of an advantage. We’re returning more experience and depth than we have in quite some time. Whether or not they can out talent us is very debatable. If Diaz and staff can have our guys ready to play, I believe we’ve got a punchers chance to send them back home with the L.

All I want from the Bama game is to look like we belong and keep it close into the 4th with a chance to win.
All I want is to:

- Have King, Matocha, TVD, or Garcia go nuts in the game and drop 60 points
- Have the defense confuse and confound Alabama, limiting them to 10 or less
- Have NCAA investigators waiting in the tunnel to take a deposition from Nick Saban after the game for enhanced recruiting

Rooting hard for the dub but being logically realistic we have no chance. It would be a monumental upset in the history of cfb. Rooting hard but just being real.....it's like I was rooting for cotto vs floyd or canelo. I told the boxing gym of puerto rican slurpers he would lose. They said your not rican I'm like I just keep it 100. I go back after both L's and say u guys don't know the sport. Being realistic doesn't make u less of a fan....your just being honest while still rooting for your guys.

So if we win it shows you don't know the sport.

Having 6 coaches/players 'familiar' is great...

Too bad Bama has dozens of analysts and non-positional football personel to game plan or spy, and then, during games, identify tendencies or straight up steal signs.

But I'm sure those 6 players & coaches will help quite a bit.

People approaching this game like it's Miami players vs Bama players, or Miami coaches vs Bama coaches, are completely in the dark about how college football works now, and why the same teams consistently win.
They have advantages at every level. Coaches/analysts, facilities, “medicine” for injuries and recovery, bagmen to acquire the best players, third strings that would start at major programs

It is hard to compete when they walk into every game with an edge over their opponents on majority of the things listed above

Well, Bama starts spring ball on Friday. Their entire spring practice schedule is posted on their 247 board. News will surely be posted on what the 2 deep roster will look like.... Most of their class were EEs.... They anticipate their spring game to be televised on ESPN. Will have 20-25% capacity in the stands...

Two TDs. The second one is very late in the 4th quarter. Diaz goes for 2 points to rub it in and we convert. Two Klansmen immediately drown themselves in their neighbor's above-ground pools in two different parts of Alabama. At the post-game press conference, Saban goes irate when he's asked about the late 2-pt. try, has a serious cardiac episode requiring a brief hospitalization, and after discussing it with his family Saban never coaches another game in his (now shortened) life. When Diaz hears about Saban's condition later that night, he tweets out a savage "thoughts and prayers" @Saban, but lies through his teeth and maintains the 2-pt. try was simply him giving his team live reps to prepare them for those sorts of situations in the big games to come. Later that year, Alabama hires Dan Mullen away from UiF, and the turds replace him with Randy Shannon, and neither team ever wins another National Championship again.

A guy can dream, right?
Heaven isn't too far away

So if we win it shows you don't know the sport.
Then I don't know ****....I'm not claiming to know everything but when teams or fighters are at there peak and legendary.....and they are going up against someone or a team in disarray for the last 15 years chances are they will stomp that team. Floyd all time and this bama run is all time.
