Since posters are talking 'Bama...

Two TDs. The second one is very late in the 4th quarter. Diaz goes for 2 points to rub it in and we convert. Two Klansmen immediately drown themselves in their neighbor's above-ground pools in two different parts of Alabama. At the post-game press conference, Saban goes irate when he's asked about the late 2-pt. try, has a serious cardiac episode requiring a brief hospitalization, and after discussing it with his family Saban never coaches another game in his (now shortened) life. When Diaz hears about Saban's condition later that night, he tweets out a savage "thoughts and prayers" @Saban, but lies through his teeth and maintains the 2-pt. try was simply him giving his team live reps to prepare them for those sorts of situations in the big games to come. Later that year, Alabama hires Dan Mullen away from UiF, and the turds replace him with Randy Shannon, and neither team ever wins another National Championship again.

A guy can dream, right?

Has anyone done a dive into their roster? They lost a lot of talent but do so every year and it doesn't seem to matter much. They seemingly lose a ton of production at QB (Jones), WR (Waddle, Devonta), RB (Najee) and OL (Leatherwood, ****erson). I'm sure all the replacements are 4 and 5 stars; but any insight into their projection this year?

They are 110th in returning production nationally. We are 3rd.

My BIGGEST fear playing Bama is the same one every SEC team that plays them ...even though they have GREAT familiarity with Bama....some to the point they can predict Bama's next play with 90% certainly.

The problem playing Bama even if you are highly familiar with them is that they simply have better players than almost all of their opponents all of whom execute extremely well.

Beating them takes an Auburn like Iron Bowl game prep, motivation and playing effort...all game long.

I'd be in Auburn right now learning how they prepare for Bama...they seem to consistently give them a good game regardless of their record.

You must have gotten an “A” in creative writing.

;)

Look, we probably aren't beating Bama. No one is outside of 2 or 3 programs these days. Do we look like we belong and make a game of it though? And who knows, that's why they play the games.

For everyone saying we shouldn't even be playing them, this program has never ducked anyone.

Having 6 coaches/players 'familiar' is great...

Too bad Bama has dozens of analysts and non-positional football personel to game plan or spy, and then, during games, identify tendencies or straight up steal signs.

But I'm sure those 6 players & coaches will help quite a bit.

People approaching this game like it's Miami players vs Bama players, or Miami coaches vs Bama coaches, are completely in the dark about how college football works now, and why the same teams consistently win.
They hired a ****n ex nfl head coach as a position coach.

And nobody thought App St. could beat Michigan, either. Just sayin.

This would be beautiful. Poetic.

So what you're saying is we have experience losing to Alabama?

I won't even call them 'Bama. Nicknames are for people/things that I like. **** Alabama.

No we don’t

Can’t believe we are even playing this game

Fire anyone involved in scheduling this game
What would you rather, we test ourselves against BCC or FAMU? We used to not cry about playing anyone, anywhere. It’s how the kids get to see how their progression is compared with the top dogs of college football. I’d rather we play against top competition than run from it. Will we beat Bama? Doubtful. Will it give the kids and the coaching staff measurable experience? Yes. Worst case scenario is we end up not only hanging but beating Nicky and his band of merry men. Again, doubtful, but stranger things have occurred on any given Saturday.

This statement is dumb and cowardice.
You never get better by beating inferior opponents. Play the best and if you get your butt kicked you keep playing until you close the gap and eventually win.

Don't be a puss!

Problem with that is Auburn has a completely new coaching staff. Think you mean going up to Orlando to have a chat with Gus and his staff.
