I can’t remember which nfl player said “playing with a lead is the hardest thing in football because when you are playing from behind, you feel like you have nothing to lose.” He was right. It’s easy to blame the coaches but I guarantee a few of the players, especially on offense, felt that it was in the bag and didn’t play quite as hard

Game was over once we got up 28-3. If anyone doubts this please tell me how many offensive plays FSU ran down one score in the second half.

Weird **** happened after that. We've beaten them by more than 1 score 2 times in 70 years at Doak. Weird **** happening is the norm when we play them up there and we are the better team.

We've physically dominated every team we've played, and I don't think anyone else has successfully run a more difficult 5-game gauntlet to start the season.

Am happier than a pig in **** cheering for this team this year. Just keep getting better (and we certainly got better this week) and great things can happen this year.

EXACTLY! ANY screen...just call 1, it's meets the same objective as a run...quick execution, runs clock, good for 2+ yards almost 80% of the time, helps unload the box.

In most games against half-way decent opponents, you're going to have swings - one team may look great for a quarter or two or three. But the other team will frequently make a run.

FSU came in averaging about 600 yards a game. You really think we were going to shut them down the whole game?

Our 2001 was the best college team ever and we needed a miracle to beat a mediocre Boston College team.

My take is that he was ****ed at himself.
After the Florida game he said if we had a lead, we (the d-line) would finish it.
They didn't.

we are 5-0, swept our 3 biggest rivals in the same year for the first time since 1987

a ton of media outlets are saying we're the best team in the country

and people on here ****ed because we gave up garbage time yards and points in prevent D
 
Can you imagine complaining about beating our top rival, who is a top 20 team on the road at night. This team also boatraced Alabama who just dominated Georgia on the road. Sure we stopped playing in the 4th which Mario will harp on for the next weeks. We aren’t a perfect team but we are only 5 games in. This team is only going to get better, learn from the mistakes they have made and be in a great spot come late in the season.
 
Imma let some of y'all keep spazzing out, but real ones recognize the defense essentially went to prevent mode and forced them to have the underneath at the expense of chewing clock.

As we have done against ND and UF. I get it. As fans we want blow outs, and I'd like to see the offense stay aggressive thru out...but I can't question the results.

 
I’m happy for the win. I’ll take it after two decades of misery. But like I’ve said on another thread, for all the bravado and fist thumping Mario shows, his conservative coiling up, tail between his legs approach when ahead is mind boggling. This could have been a route. Instead, it was get out of that **** hole by the skin. Very perplexing. It is going to come back and bite us when playing a better team than ef es poo.

So you don't like watching football? Like it or not, the other team has a say.

OP will be complaining when we win the ACC championship that we didn't win the way he liked.

Mario has his warts but I knew the warts before he was hired and was still fine with it. But I will rant when I’m annoyed. Everything that’s transpired since he got here was expected , good and bad.
