Sickening

We are 5-0 and won against a decent team on the road. I think the approach is working as long as your winning. That Noles D line look good today against the run. On to the bye week and then Louisville.

I feel like a broken record saying the same **** for three years...we lack killer mentality from leadership. It's literally insanity. Look, Im ok with running the clock and getting out of games with W....if we are playing in games against really good teams. We dominate most teams we play and still pack it in late 3, early 4th.

By packing it in like we do so early, it gives these teams a chance to catch up and make it a game. What are we actually gaining by doing so? We're keeping our starters in all game risking injury, we keep playing games down to the wire in which we could actually lose, and even when we win, we couldve won 2 qtrs earlier than we did. It just doesnt make since to me. 0 points and 18 total yards in the 4th...unfreakin real.

One of those 3 onside kicks go the other way we’d be having a different conversation hence why you don’t sit on leads in the third quarter. And we were very close to losing an onside kick when 7 attacked the ball at like 6-7 yards
Why were we running at this diarrhea dribblers? Do we know it has to go 10 yards?

I wanted to throw up. @DMoney were properly ranked behind OSU and Oregon. Great teams, championship teams finish. That was god awful.

That game should have bee 35-10.

Yes that’s true…

But our HC/OC has to stop going in a shell with leads…
I feel like that’s kinda inaccurate. We didn’t run many plays in the 4th due to our inability to get a 1st down or get them off the field. But Beck went 2/6 for 3 yards. All our passing game did was stop the clock and give them more time for their comeback attempt.

And we went for multiple 4th downs going for the jugular that I thought we should’ve took the FG.

Penalties also killed us

What's your excuse for the offense? They were the reason the defense was gassed.
The Lofton penalty hurt the first drive before FSU scored. After that, what should the offensive gameplan be? Chuck it 3 times? FSU sold out on the run. Then we get it again with 3 and change left. Personally I would’ve kicked the FG there. But again, a sack or an INT is worst case scenario.

The defense is gassed chasing a QB all game long. You can have the legion of boom in your secondary. If a qb keeps running you can only cover for so long. Eventually someone is getting open.

Oregon didn’t look like they finished great against a Penn State team that just lost to UCLA.

Who has Ohio State beat? Texas?

I think perspective is in order around these parts.

I didn’t love the 4th quarter, either. But it’s college football. **** happens.

Brah we took our foot off the gas, stop mixing up the play calls, went back to run left, run right pass and let FSU back into this game…

I saw the same game you did…

Oregon wasn’t even in a prevent scheme. They just let PSU move the ball on the ground. I’m not stressing decent teams fighting back like they are defending the Alamo. If this was WF or UNC **** yea. Hit the panic button. Decent teams always have that last ditch fight in them.

Its just sports in general tbh. This conservative/keep pushing argument has been around in football since the beginning of time.

And anyone who's honest with themselves has seen both strategies fail miserably. End of the day only thing that matters is winning.

Im convinced if the playoff committee was made of all canes fans they would keep us out because of the "trends" lol.

This is so ******* dumb you should be banned for a week.

How exactly did Mario do anything wrong? We didn’t score the last three drives when they sold out to stop the run while we burned the clock.

If Beck hits Baby Jesus on the 4th down screen he walks into the end zone.

You live in the past with your bull**** narrative.

You’re probably still saying Mario can’t Coach QBs
You sure cry a bunch😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

FSU averaging 600 yards a game. We basically shut them down from there 2nd drive to mid 4th quarter

I mean going by that, FSU is the only one with a good win. ND has beaten no one and Texas will be unranked so UF has no good wins and they 2-3

FSU sold out on the run because Mario is so predictable with a lead. They may as well have been allowed in our huddle.

Fair points man. Love your posts. As a former D1 athlete the stress is always on finishing, why? Because as you said, weird **** happens. Creating a margin for error is so so so important. We put the 4s in the air? That’s supposed to mean something. You gotta effing finish!

Eh? Our first drive that quarter we ran the ball well early. Then had a holding penalty which put us behind the sticks and led to 2 passes for -2 yards.

Our 2nd drive fit that description with 2 runs and incomplete pass.

The 2nd drive was run, pass, pass.

The problem being that those 2 pass attempts combined for 5 yards.

Every time we ‘mixed it up’ we keep not completing passes and stopping the clock.
