SIAP (Scrimmage Tonight?)

Yall act like I don't scrimmage every day.
The timing for the QB is the same, he just doesn't get blasted, he gets touched instead. The urgency and timing of the passing game is no different.

And the WR's have 15 YPC because there's room to run after the catch.
what you are saying might turn out true but from my limited knowledge of the personnel on this team i am more concerned with the front 6-7 this year than i am with the secondary.

Fair enough. Obviously he better change that mindset real quick. You'd hope experienced guys like Shoop & T Rob can affect that mindset a bit but I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Why would Trob affect a mindset when he was worse as a DC? I hope they play more man because the CBS are better. No sense in doing it if they can’t. Trob is great as a teacher and recruiter, but the truth is Manny has a better resume as a DC. It either works or it doesn’t I think he is trying to get the horses to run and then you can switch things up accordingly. I really don’t know much I’m a 5’9” white guy but it just makes common sense.

Again...yall MF'ers only read what YOU WANT to respond to.

I referenced ALL 3 of our QB's and their performances since the start of spring.
Also referenced opposing QB's.

And stop saying "scripted practices".
This isn't a football movie. The results of each play are not planned and scripted.

When we scrimmage, each side of the ball is trying to "win the day".
There's no "script" that says "allow the offense to succeed today".
Clearly you ain’t reading the whole post yourself..so ima take it as you don’t know wth you’re arguing about & you can do the same with my argument homes

Exactly bro.
These dudes act like what I'm talking about is an isolated/rare incident. LOL

We literally allowed a mediocre QB to start a game 14-14 passing.
I've NEVER seen that before. I didn't even think that was possible.

Not disagreeing with your argument of our defense having gaping zones in it for pickings, but to this particular comment:

At one point in 2015, Ryan Tannehill's stat line vs the Texans was 18/18 for 282 yards and 4 touchdowns lol. This is also with him getting sacked 4 times

The backup QB at Pitt isn't Ryan Tannehill. Or FAMU's (could have been Bethune??!) Or the dozen others we've witnessed. Macho might have overreacted from one scrimmage but his point is spot on. Typical Manny Diaz stat line.

I think some of y’all just want to find something to complain about..you may not love Manny’s scheme but either way his scheme and the talent on this team has been enough to win the coastal since he got here (only excluding Bakers defense last year). Yes the scheme has its downsides but it’s built to create havoc upfront and create sacks and negative plays which puts the offense behind the sticks..we should win the coastal this year with this scheme Idgaf about NC

I agree with Macho. Bringing in TROB should allow Manny to be more aggressive with our CBs. Not only did we bring in TROb but we also brought in TS at CB. Now if it is still a talent issue, what happens in 2022 when we land a bunch of 4 and 5 star kids? Will they be allowed to run press man?

im saying all i see is grown men looking for something to beetch about on a nice monday! like im not worried about the D....dline is gonna b okay LBs *** and the secondary is gonna b great that seems like a solid to good defense, this team is definitely going to be an offensive team moving forward the next 2 seasons at least.

And how's that philosophy worked out versus formidable opponents?

USC let a QB start a game 23 for 23 in 2004. They were one of the best if not the best D in the country that year.

Please read the sentence right before the one you quoted where I literally said "i don't disagree". I only posted it because Macho said he didn't think it was possible (That type of stat line). I also don't think Macho is overreacting because it's not fun watching gaping holes in our defense constantly through spring, fall, and the actual season. Regardless, its still a huge anomaly for Ryan Tannehill to have gone 18/18 in a NFL game, and against a top 5 defense at the time.

"Grown men looking for something to ***** about" or long-time fans who have genuine concerns and are tired of seeing 'more of the same'?

The secondary is gonna be great based on what?

i dont think Coach Macho said that bringing in TRob should allow Manny to be more aggressive with our CBs.

Idk one defensive scheme that just takes away everything...the way the game is played if a defense does not get pressure and/or turnovers you will get shredded...even the most talented teams in the country witness this

They’re doing what varsity teams use their cool down practice for. Running a script and calling a defense to give the QB a look to see if he’ll make the right read. Basically making the defense play with one hand behind their back
That's what SCOUT TEAM is for...not "good on good" scrimmages.

Good-on-good scrimmages are not scripted.
The defense runs their ****, the offense runs their's.
