nah...
Richt got deeply rooted in Athens and--for the sake of his family & assistants--let UGAs administration/boosters get involved in running the football team.
Pruitt calls a presser to chop down the administration about an IPF and the admin responds by giving the man an extension and raise; what more do you need to understand about what happened?
Pruitt had his mandate with an opportunity to flex and generally do WTF he wanted based on the circumstances of his hire and extension. MARK RICHT WAS NOT HIS BOSS and it's clear Pruitt was operating with that understanding. If you'd like to question how Richt could let the administration run the team then it's another conversation, but why--with all the understanding he had about the circumstances--should Mark Richt embarrass himself & validate Pruitt by stooping to his level after 15yrs as HC at the joint?
Pruitt should have been gone that day, but it clearly wasn't Richt's call.
