SIAP...Chaminade (CA) vs Oaks Christian

Kaaya's WR not getting much separation. He has made a few nice throws though.

That RB they have is a nice player.

They keep running on 3rd and 7 and 3rd and 8. Makes me wonder how much they trust Kaaya.
They trusted him just fine the first three games.

And now they let him throw it on third down and he drills it.

Just thought it was weird earlier. The running game was rolling but you need to let that kid throw.

If Kaaya can make the throws, I think he has a legit shot to win the job. Like D$ said, he looks very impressive pre-snap and he will be here in January so he should pick the playbook up pretty quickly.
him being Coley's guy helps

I think that's another part of the equation that will play a role. I think we will see some more spread concepts the longer Coley is here and it's not necessarily the Olsen can't play in that system, but Coley hand-picked Kaaya to play in his system so he obviously feels like he can build around him.

Here is my question on Coley being given full reign with the offense. AG brought in Jedd Fisch to build a play book, which he did that was based on a pro set, which is also UM's bread and butter over the years. AG has said several times that Coley is being unselfish by using Fisch Play book rather then whatever he could come up with. An in the UF game AG admitted that he told Coley how to call the game, from that I get the impression he will always have a tight reign on Coley because AG may not be solid on the spread. When he was at Temple they ran the pro set, and when he came to UM AG gave Jedd Fisch free reign in every game he coached from day one. An both Fisch and Coley had only had 1 prior year of being an OC, however Fisch had a much better play calling pedigree, could this be the difference in AG's management style of OC's.

I agree with you that Coley would try to push for more spread offensive schemes, I am looking forward to see how Coley does calling plays through out the season.

I don't think Al really wants to start a true freshman at QB. Hopefully Coley has the sense to realize that fswho's style of qb has not brought them any NC's. This is Miami and that is all that matters. Being overhyped and overrated only to blow crucial games is short trip to getting fired here--Bobby would not have lasted 5 years here. Needs to play whichever QB gives us best chance to win NC, even if that is Williams.
