It's a lot easier to avoid retaliating when you're up big and in a good mood vs losing and in a bad one.
This is giving me 2000 vibes. Not to say that the talent is equivalent, but the maturity and self governance seems to be really showing.Great, he's grown.
Now lets just hope when we really start winning, these guys don't let it slip or get complacent with stuff like this.
Nothing has counted. The last few months have just been a dream and we are not 3-0. Ward went to the nfl draft and our beloved canes are still in a state of mediocrity. If Parrish’s stats don’t count vs Wake, do George’s count vs Ball State…![]()

I asked in another thread but I agree and it feels like our YAC this year has been greatOne underrated thing that all of our receivers used to do back under Butch Davis was as soon as you catch the ball, get going North/South. It should be one football move - catch and go north. Too many recievers catch the ball and stop, and just try to juke a guy out or something. Or they go laterally. That was something that drove me crazy about our WR's over the last 20 years.
You can really see the level of WR coaching has gotten better, because I saw Restreppo, George, and Sam Brown all do this on Saturday. As soon as the ball hit their hands, they were instantly going upfield without stopping to think about it. I don't know if it's that old NFL guy we hired, or Beard, or whatever it is, but the level of coaching at that position has gotten noticably better and that room has been a really nice surprise.
They're also all doing a really nice job of finding space and executing scramble drills
