ehhh grown may be a bit subjective here and you will see why at the end of this comment.

However, with JG I dont think you can take that part of the game away from him. It legit is who he is (emotional) but I do think you can confine it to your own sideline. He did the thumb down gator chump multiple times. I thought at one point it would be a flag on some BS like how the upside down horns for texas was considered taunting or unsportsmanlike.

I was at the game 10 rows behind our bench. JG was jawing as soon as he was on the field and was getting in the DBs heads/ Refs did a good job separating DB/WR a few times after the whistle blew. I saw where he got hit and he did show restraint in not retaliating but it was after JG had already baited him multiple times.

Then late in the third JG was barking at gator fans in the stands lol **** was hilarious to the point some GA or whatever walked by and grabbed him and spun him around. Lasted about 30 seconds he turns back around, chirps more, then it was time for offense to come on the field and he did the chomp at the gator fans who he was chirping with then did the Marshawn Lynch nut grab backpeddaling onto the field.
cant take the Lauderhill outta em lol..... This is hilarious...its a rivalry game f*ck em.....

Everybody was doing the gator chomp then thumbs down. Thats not a problem. Last year he was going out of his way to move into the DBs faces to talk ****. Its a major difference. And talking **** to the crowd is never really a problem tbh.

And I didn't mean like Grown as in fully grown, I meant it as in he literally has grown from being undisciplined to more disciplined. He can show emotion, that's fine. He doesn't need to be the most Grown adult on the team. He just needed to have grown to not actually harming the team, which the actions game one .... he showed growth in...
Nah we on the same wave length my guy. I agree lots did the gator thumb down thing but JG was consistent with it. Horton I saw do it once or twice, but JG was every **** chance he got. I was happy to not see a penalty, I thought giving teams penalties for the upside down hook'em horns was dumb but with JG he has to know he has a bit of a rep so when he does it, it may get looked at differently.

And jawing with fans I agree, he aint gonna get a penalty for that so if he wants to show out emotion, that is where he does it hidden on the sideline. I was only laughing thinking a bunch of people in here likely agree claiming he has "grown" or "matured" and im like I just saw homie grab his nuts telling gator fans to **** off soooooo

I noticed multiple moments where an old Hurricanes team would have done something stupid.

On Restrepo's spin/juke on the big run, a WR had an opportunity for a crack back block and pulled out.

Sam Brown should have scored when he got stopped at the 1, but at least he didn't reach the ball out and risk a goal line fumble.

No late hits. No roughing the passers I remember. Discipline.

Lost me at pulled out. 🤣

Amazing what kicking someone’s *** does for your psyche rather than getting slapped around and reacting
Right! He lost his cool mostly in that Louisville game when we were losing a close one 38-31 and he was getting grabbed on the final plays trying to get open in the end zone.

Much easier to stay composed when you’re up 41-17.

Regardless, good for him. That play in the end zone from Cam on Saturday was magic.

same thing i said

if there's ever a game to swing, you knock that bytch ***'d gaytor out. then do a lil Tyler Baron dance on your way off the field 😂

I would simply point out that Volusia County and Alachua County are separated by ONE county (Marion).

Jacolby may still be ****ed off about that bull**** traffic stop in Daytona.

I am so tired of the mediocrity and it started when we were not elite and thought taking 15 yard personal foul penalties was good for the team because it demonstrated swagger. What it demonstrated is stupidity. That is why I loved this win over Florida. We didn't do that BS as Cristobal said. We just played the game and kicked their butts. No negative plays. The team played only to win and not do negative crap like that. It was fun to watch mature guys play a clean game as far as PF penalties go. I hope we see that the rest of the season.

I was hoping he wouldn't get flagged for the thumbs down gator chomp lol. Seems like refs have chilled on that a bit. Bout time.
Well other teams get to throw the upside down U constantly. They better not flag us for something similar.

On a play in the first half, it looked like him and a UF defensive back tackled each other after the play. Near the goal line, right hashes.

Just win and stop the bs penalties that hurt us. I am tired of us doing that. I have watched James Williams, Jacolby and others last year deny us a chance to win over selfish penalties, and that BS needs to end NOW.

We did the chop frequently and then the thumbs down motion. Did any of that encourage other teams to not do that to us in the future? Is it ok if we do it to them while getting ****ed when others do it to us? as Mish said just throw up the U that is what is supporting your team is all about after a big play.

We have been so mediocre for so many years we care more about what they do to us than how we should react to them when we succeed. Throw up the U and F them.

i gotta be honest yall i was just *waiting* for the idiot penalty or stupid mistake to come right along and break the spell and it just never happened. the two mistakes we did make were on the field and the team responded to both by simply elevating their level of play and negating any possible momentum shift. long season ahead, but that has me thinking the culture shift might finally be for real
