Shemar Stewart

Correct. He's of course just piggybacking off Wilt's Dong, but he mentioned that the trip to LSU this weekend changed things. That's really weird. Normally we hear the opposite, very rarely do you hear of a school making a push, then a kid visiting who everyone thought was his presumed leader and that visit not being overly positive. Perhaps he told people while he was there that Miami was his leader? Kinda weird for this to come immediately after he returns home from Baton Rouge.

Either way, great news for the good guys. Come on home, big fella.

Maybe they tried to feed him crawdads instead of ribs/chicken, and he had a Willie-Williams-type food reaction.

2 first round ends, NFL D line coach, paradise, system that feeds ends, all his boys here.

why not Miami?

Because the mopes want to tell us all about the "official visit high" and act like any positive feelings to Miami will dissipate within 48 hours.

Manny Navarro spoke with Stewart's coach at Pace since he returned from his OV at LSU.

• Why did national recruiting experts for 247Sports flip their crystal ball predictions for top-rated, five-star local recruit Shemar Stewart from LSU to Miami over the weekend? Because Stewart’s “official visit to LSU had its ups and downs,” Monsignor Pace coach Mario Perez told The Athletic.
“That’s what I know, what I heard,” Perez continued. “There was a six-hour layover in Houston and a delay on their way there. When they went to go through the photoshoot for the uniforms, they forgot to put his stuff out.”

Still, Perez warned not to rule out the Tigers. He also said not to assume a couple of fun days at Miami last week won Stewart over. There are plenty more visits for him to make.

“He loves coach (Ed) Orgeron. He thinks he walks on water,” Perez said of Stewart. “The thing about Miami for Shemar is that he’s very attracted to his peers. So he had an opportunity to go and hang out with his peers for a couple of days, go hang out in a dorm and be him. Remember, (Miami freshman safety) James Williams started out at (Monsignor) Pace with Shemar.

“But anybody who tells you that he’s leaning this way or that way, they’re sticking their finger up in the air and telling you whatever they think. It’s not based on fact. It’s like the Bachelor. Is there an ugly girl in that competition? No. You love the one that’s kissing you at the time. (Tuesday) he’s at Ohio State. Thursday, he’s at Notre Dame. Monday, he’s at Florida and then Georgia and Florida State and Clemson and South Carolina and Alabama.”

There is a reasonable write up, Thanks Hoya.

Us getting Stewart would be huge, the past 10 years or so we have lost a majority of these recruiting battles to the SEC, let's see if this staff can get it done.

all jokes aside sounds like were in the thick of it and have a lot of connections with him being a Pace kid. This gonna be a stay the course kinda recruitment.

Lol his HS coach basically gave a long winded *** version of saying Miami has a lead thanks to the prospect of Shemar playing on the same D with JW & LT

Just do your thing on and off the field because this is the type of kid thats a fight all the way until NLI and he affects many other recruits who will want to play with him

No doubt, it was a headache listening to his coach give his snake oil sales pitch.
I don't know his coach at all but the interview seemed like an example that he loves the attention and im fine with that. Fact is he's connected to a superstar prospect and you take everything that comes with him as long as pen goes to paper

Agree, we got good practice last year recruiting LT & dealing with his Gator slurper HC so I'm sure our staff knows what it takes to land a kid like Shemar.

Five stars attract five stars. If those five stars turn into first rounders, it will make it a lot easier for local kids to pick us over Bama.

Too far out. Win some games, get Williams and Taylor on the field in situations they can shine, keep upgrading the staff and marketing team.

Without having any knowledge I feel like this strikes the right tone. We are a lot better off with this kid than we were with a couple of the other local five stars who gave us a courtesy visit over the years but it’s far from over.
