Shawn Burgess-Becker Rivals update

U guys need to relax. They already verballed somewhere and seem quite content with it. Personally im feeling like they are gone. No worries. Continue to recruit them but dont get your hopes up. My approach

he explains why he's considering other programs, saying "Well, it's a (non-binding) verbal, so I'm open.

:ibisroflmao: These kids, i tell ya.

this is the exact problem that the NCAA has allowed to give the kids all the leverage over the coaches. Early signing period makes this go away Emmert and my god how refreshing is it to see it happening to Bama???

Guys like Becker and Ridley wouldn't sign early anyway, so early signing period would be useless with them. They enjoy the attention and limelight of the recruiting process too much to cut it short early.[/QUOTE

exactly, so per our comments they wouldn't be committed as they like the attention as the early period would prevent this to an extent

at least he aint saying its a non binding verbal commitment to us... im glad they didnt commit to miami early because this samething could be happening to us. We have a chance with these two right here........

James Coley just won't quit. That guy would be a problem as a Head Coach imo. A better version of Dabo.

Have a feeling this kid and Ridley are gonna troll the U...BIG TIME. Would love to have them here, but unless something miraculous happens, i just don't see them here.

The more I see of James Coley, the more I wouldn't mind him taking over as a head coach...Let's be honest, the guy isn't lighting the world on fire from an OC perspective. However, he can recruit, and that is 85% of the head coaching job.

From there, he can hire a badass OC and DC, and get Miami back to being the feared team in college football.

These are teenage kids. In 2 weeks, after U Day, these guys could very well be talking about us as the leaders for their services...

and 2 months later say that they aren't considering Miami.

There's a long way until NSD gentlemen.

Who knows" we are just waiting for signing day to come. Miami

It would be great if those kids would snub Saban at the end just like he did to Miami years ago. Hope these kids stay home and represent their home town.

Real talk - no sense in mentioning these kids names until late January.

Definitely no reason to overanalyze this situation now. Way too much time between now and February. Great players with lots of options with media fun thrown in.
