He will not be pushed around at 235 pounds. Anyone worrying about that is foolish
I swear people think the next generation linebacker is 270 already.
These guys aren't going to get much bigger.

Had ag and frito lays been here he would be 275 and playing with his hand down.
Kids gonna ball out
This board obsesses over weight more than a menopausal group of fat chicks

Understandably so. We saw our teams get pushed around so much during the late Coker Shannon era due to a lack of talent and S&C that the board became obsessed with getting bigger and stronger "like the SEC".
When Golden beefed up his teams initially the board gushed, until we saw it was really bad weight, and too much weight even if it weren't.
I think we may have it right now. Like Shaqs pops mentioned our strength program is built around endurance strength and other aspects instead of putting on/taking off weight for the **** of it.
A buddy of mine who did some time strength coaching in the NFL explained that almost all exercises are tending to football type movements and ranges of motion. The days of S&C coaches gathering the team around bench pressing are over at the highest level.

Jonathan Vilma, one of the best MLB's to ever play at Miami, weighed 220lbs his Senior year
That was over 10 years ago.
In 3 years who will be the highest drafted LB: Shaq, McCloud or The Savage Pink

Curious to see what UknowWhat has to say on the subject. Always enjoy his perspective.

OLB is a higher or more valued commodity in the NFL Draft. Zach definitely will have the scouts drooling at 6'3 230 and about 8% body fat. MLB are like quarter backs once a team has solidified their MIKE backer... then they are only concerned with backups.. Ray Lewis for example... I don't know for certain... but I'm guessing the Ravens didn't have a MIKE Backer on their board for the first round while he was in his prime... like the Patriots wasn't too high on a QB for the past few years. Before anybody say anything I'm not comparing Shaq to Ray Lewis... I use that example more so for that position. In my opinion where Shaq is going to shine is during the Wonderlic Testing. He is a good leader on the field and is a hard worker and he will impress the scouts in ways most don't notice. You have to know Shaq to see a lot of his value to the team... He orchestrates many Diaz practice script during the current workouts because the coaches are not allowed on the field... Richt is taking him and Walton with him in a couple of weeks to the College Game Day Media event... They (the coaches) know what he brings to the table.... not saying the other guys are not bringing their own... I hope, I don't sound like I'm comparing them all... or trying to place a value on them or saying who is the best... I have feeling for them all and would like nothing more than for all of them to be first rounder. When I'm at their apartment... I spend just as much time is Zach's room as I do in Shaq's... When I talk to Shaq one of the things I always ask is how is my Nephew doing (Mike). Shaq spends a lot of time with Beason, watching film or talking/texting... who is really impressed with Shaq's knowledge of game and understands the value he brings.... All of that to say... I agree Zach stands a better chance in the draft... I think with every draft OLB muster a bigger need than MLB

Yeah I get it, I'm with you. It's obviously important. I'm a Strength and Conditioning junkie. It's why I was hopeful when Golden first took over but that quickly deteriorated. S&C has become a real science these days and your guys have to stay up to date on how to properly gain an edge.Way to overthink a jokeThis board obsesses over weight more than a menopausal group of fat chicks

That was aimed more at the subject than you personally, because you're not lying
