Seems Polendey has passed Irvin at TE

I agree.

Herndon may not hurdle defenders like Njoku did, but he will clearly be missed.

He was a good one.
VERY good one. A complete player. Strong, fast, minimized mistakes. I hope he excels in the NFL. His numbers were down because of Rosier this year.

Irvin II is actually a good athlete. When he made catches last year, I could see that he was much more fluid and athletic than Herndon. I would have to remind myself who it was when I saw him snatch the ball and turn up field quickly.

If he’s lazy, uninspired, and entitled then that’s why he won’t play. He has potential.
idk about all that lol

Which one is average athletically?..This should be good.

UH, BREVIN. MAYBE YOU AINT SEEN THE SAME PICS I SEEN. NJOKU MAKES HIM LOOK LIKE A BABY.

and to whoever is using Brevin's juking ability as a nailing point, you don't deserve your own reply.

Njoku makes a lot of people look like a baby

aint gone lie though, those new tight ends... one is skinny and the other is quite average when it comes to athleticism. I'm pulling my hair out too..
Stupid take, Jordan moves like a running back or receiver with the ball in hands and we have seen him outrun a secondary featuring 5 stars pat surtain and Tyson Campbell with EASE.... Mallory is a very fast tight end too.

Don't understand the concerns about Mallory's weight. He was at 210 in February.

Its not hard with his frame to imagine him easily putting on 15+lbs easily by summer hitting the weights, and an additional 10-20 lbs under our S&C coaches before season's end. We're not talking about someone with a small frame like Perry's

We'll need someone with his abilities backing Jordan, So I doubt he RS.

Also because after Jordan, its a very steep drop off at TE.

Said it before and got negged. Irvin is lazy and entitled. Hes

Mallory won’t be ready. He never blocked in HS and will max out under 225 his Fr year.
Won’t be ready early on as a in line tight end like Brevin will be but he is well prepared with a role flexed out

Lets be honest, Mallory needs a shirt to gain weight. Kid will get killed out there.
Not as a pass catching tight end. Feel way more comfortable of having him in that spot rather than seeing Irvin or polendy there

Why? We’re loaded at WR, especially big ones, and Brevin will be a much better flex option this year. Then what happens if Brevin gets injured? We absolutely need a grad transfer at TE

One or both of these guys are going to have to contribute even after the freshmen get here. Jordan may be able to step in right away and be the regular tight end but Mallory is smaller than some of our current wideouts and won't have an impact as a blocker yet. One of these guys is going to be called upon in 2 TE sets, especially short yardage situations.
Can we use an HBack like Gray if we need some extra beef and don’t have another capable TE?

You used pictures to determine someone's athletic ability? My heavenly stars.

Maybe Irvin lacks the fire to be great. Maybe he is lazy in the weight room. But as for entitled i don't know, he hasn't pouted or demanded playing time like some entitled players have. Hopefully he keeps working and something clicks for him but im going to leave the entitled title for guys like dionte mullins.

Brock-O, that's something Njoku couldn't do himself. But if you're right, I'll search this post mid-season to give you props.

Njoku is a small tight end by NFL standards (Miami standards). The pic below -- would you just look at it?
