SEC Doomsday Week 1

You got 3 out of 4 right.
Bama will get re-introduced to the forward pass in the loss to USC.
One of UNC's four losses this year will be on Saturday vs. UGA.
Ole **** gave up some points last year. I like their offense but they wont keep up with the 'Noles.
Clemson will beat Auburn by 2 scores.
 
Ridley versus Adoree Jackson is what I'm interested in seeing. If Ridley gets shut down, the only other viable receiving options is that TE and USC is usually very athletic at LB and Safety. I think Alabama is going to have to run the ball early and a lot. Wear down the USC dline, which is typically quick and athletic but not as big or stout. Should be a really good game, if USC's offense shows up, they are definitely capable of beating Alabama.
 
will never EVER root for FSU, unless we need them to beat an opponent THAT week in order to get into the ACC champ game or playoffs.

dont understand how or why anyone would want UNC to lose to UGA either.
 
If USC's defense doesn't get trampled, I like their chances. Bama's usually stout defense tends to look ordinary when they play a team that can complete a forward pass (ie: none of the teams in the SEC besides Old ****). I think Bama wins in a shootout. Clemson will crush Auburn by 20. I like FSU against Mississippi too. UNC vs. UGA is a toss-up. I'm hoping for a Carolina win.

In today's game with strength of schedule meaning so much, it's in your team's best interest to hope that every opponent on their schedule wins every game possible besides the one matchup with your team. I know Miami's chances at a playoff are slim to none but I'd still rather see them beat an 11-1 FSU team than an 8-4 FSU team.
 
Florida's defense may get some whiplash on Saturday. Whipple and his boys will play with some attitude. Florida should win but wouldn't be shocked if they lost.
 
Just can't root for FSU... hope they go 0-12. That is the only SEC team I will be rooting for (Ole ****).

Rooting for:
USC over Bama
App St over Tenn
UCLA over TAMU
Wiscy over LSU
UNC over UGA
Clem over AU

Would love to see the SEC get embarrassed.

Never cheering for fsu , the more they win the better recruits they get . I hope they win 1 game and that's vs gators

Exactly. LSU vs Florida will be the main competition so if either of those teams aren't looking good we can get it

Yeap. Even if they are doing good, we have shot if Canes lay the wood on first 4, including GT and Brad is lighting it up. Dog and phony SEC game between two teams getting pass Bama anyway, or the possible rebirth of the Messiah of modern college TV ratings. Okay, I am getting carried away but you get it.
 
There's not enough money you could pay me to root for FSU... Idgaf about strength of schedule.
Just can't imagine sitting there being "happy" they won, Smfh... Naw can't do it.

A FSU win vs a SEC program like the Confederate Rebels of Ole **** would only help their recruiting.
Would it raise the profile of our game in October? Of course it would, but their success only helps them and does nothing specifically for us.

Think of how many recruits are going to be at that game on UV's & OV's... Seeing them lose to us after they've already lost a big game earlier in the season would set in kids minds that FSU is falling off & we're coming back to National prominence.

I understand & respect why you guys that want them undefeated, and theoretically speaking it would be the best scenario in terms of rankings & potential playoff hopes... But, I'm not even thinking like that at this point, all I care about is beating them, winning the Coastal & finishing with a top 10 recruiting class.

The "smart" thing to do is to root for all of those ACC teams, but sorry, I can't do it... I'm a Miami fan, not a ACC fan.
Besides, the misconception that we're a "weak" conference hasn't stopped the CFB committee from voting in the ACC champ to the playoff the last two seasons.

Yeah, I'm not very confident about UNC in that game although UGA just named Lambert the starter and he's junk. I'd absolutely love for Curby to get smashed out of the gate though just so we can see that fanbase lose their **** and missing Richt.

Going to the Dome to see Dawgs and Carolina play, will give a report on NC next week. Ga starting Lambert which surprised me as I have seen him stink it up to many times. Believe all he does is take snap, hand off to Chubb, Michele, Holyfield for I believe will be over 300 rushing yards. Am nota big Kirby fan as some are already anointing him Nicky II.

FSU will roll, you would think. But..... a loss wouldnt surprise me.

ND beats Texas and Charlie Strong is 3/4s the way out the door.

I was surprised they didnt roll with Eason but what you say regarding their running game makes sense. Curby being a defensive minded head coach too probably made him go with the less risky choice. I really think Lambert is junk though.
