I thought Bama would take advantage of NIL, in the beginning they were. It was Nick running his mouth about how Bryce was the first million dollar NIL guy. But when he left it was all over, I am sure they still making money but without Nick that foundation is crumbling.

If they figure it out it could be a problem but they will have to start paying that premium to get 'everone' again. I know they are who they are but kids can get money anywhere now. Anybody who's willing to pay can have players. $ec coaches are going to have to evaluate top notch again (like everyone else) cause they can't just stack it 3 deep with the best players. NIL is craziness no doubt but I like that it's more spread out. It might be the hater in me but I'd rather it be Miami vs indiana instead of lsu vs bama. I'm just tired of the $ec narrative.
Miami needs cement our footing as a top team again before those ****ers figure out a new way to cheat.

I'm old enough to remember a bunch of people on here saying NIL would make teams like alabama even better. All we need now is the sports media to catch on and stop voting mid $ec teams into the top 10 to prop up the 2 loss teams at the top of their conference.

I fought tooth & nail with many people on here back in 2021 & 22, there was quite a large anti-NIL sentiment that permeated the board for several years.

Then the Guardrails group came about as well.

NIL/Portal was and still is THE BEST thing to ever happen to modern College Football. Without it, there is absolutely no parity in the sport.

Nobody can convince me that Nick Saban retired for any reason other than the fact that he couldn’t cheat the system anymore. It’s way harder to actually win when the their teams are playing by the same rules as you.

As soon as NIL became legal, Bama & UGA suddenly fell back to Earth.

The dominant juggernauts that were guaranteed shoo-ins to be National Championship teams, just out of nowhere started looking like every other middling top 20 team.
