Before anyone calls me a slurper hear me out.

Our first 3 FBS opponents are a combined 11-1 (sole loss is App state losing to Miami). We knew what Bama was going in, MSU was just a BAD matchup for us personnel wise (we still should’ve won if we could TACKLE and King didn’t give the ball away 4 times) and we knew we would get App States best shot. Miam’s ACC opponents are a combined 18-14 and I can guarantee that Bama would roll all of them, MSU would probably go 7-1 against them and app state would beat UVA, Pitt,nFSU, V tech, G tech and Duke and would give UNC/Nc state FITS.

Point is I believe our hardest opponents are out of the way. I also believe that a lot of our offensive struggles has been King and his health. On defense it’s mainly been Tackling and LB speed (hopefully infusing TAC, Brooks and Keontra Smith when he returns the overall speed is improved and it is expected that tackling will naturally improve as the season wears on.

We have a real chance to take the ACC this year. Clemson is BEATABLE UNC is not what we thought they’d be, V tech isn’t all that and Pitt has a lot of flaws. If we can clean up Penalties, Tackling, turnovers and WR/TE drops we can beat anyone in the ACC. don’t get it twisted either, all of those are fixable (each one is part mental/confidence as well).

We will be adding Clarke on OL, TVD/Garcia (IMO both are better natura QBs than King. Unfortunately it’s apparent that he is not the same QB he was in 2020 after his injury) Knighton at RB (NEED to see more Cody brown as well as well as Brinson/B Smith/J George at WR)

On D adding TAC/Brooks at LB should help alot (more Williams/Kitchens over Hall too)
Soon we will add K smith back at WLB and will add Avantae at safety the week we play
Nc State

Call it a bold take if you will but until I firmly believe Miami is in position to claim the ACC. Our hardest opponents are behind us and our guys should be juiced up realizing the ACC is there for the taking.

here we go batman GIF

Look, if we somehow beat Virginia and North Carolina (fat chance) I will be full on slurping Go Canes!! style. Until then... 'no'
This O line is going to get the young QB's killed in ACC play most likely. Manny's scheme is going to be exposed against any halfway decent coach. Endless screen passes won't work vs ACC teams. We wont be able to get any push with the O line which means we won't be able to establish the run, etc. I want to believe. But just...no.

This team does not deserve the benefit of the doubt. If they show up against UVA and UNC in the next 2 games (huge if), maybe there's a chance (and even then, Manny could fvck it all up). But right now, this is very premature talk.

Yes, the ACC looks like complete a$$ this year. No, Miami has not shown they can take advantage of it.

UNC just simply isn’t what we thought they’d be. They just got pummeled by a G Tech team that lost to NIU. I can guarantee you if there is one game outside of FSU that Miami will get up for it’ll be UNC. Especially after the last two years. Manny will make SURE Miami is up and prepared for that game.

Counterpoint - have you seen the Miami Hurricanes play football this year?

It doesn't matter. Right now Manny is Mack Brown's *****. He's going to out coach him all game.

I'll agree that the ACC is wide open this year. Just sucks that we were such an unprepared, unmotivated, undisciplined team with no fundamentals and an utter waste of how "experienced" we are due to no player development.

I hope he proves me wrong. Maybe the past week of sleepless nights and stress eating has done him some good...

Yeah, I'm a slurper for sure, But this is totally how I see it too. The only game we should have won that we lost is Michigan State, and apparently the quarterback was playing with a broken shoulder, which explains the four turnovers, which cost us the game. But I have no idea what to expect against Virginia and North Carolina. I'm going to be optimistic until proven wrong.

Manny couldn’t motivate his team for last year‘s home game to UNC. Everything on the line. Winning the game meant winning out post-Clemson, avenge a loss at UNC the prior season, avenge Mack firing Manny (personal motivation), a NY6 bowl game, the OB at home vs TAMU.

UNV 62, Miami 28.

The worst loss in team history, IMO.

Diaz should have been fired the next day, if not that night.

Sam Howell will kill us if we play the manuella soft zone d. GT dominated their oline, I bet we don't.

We could potentially drop our next 5 games.

There is definitely some logic to this

But I vehemently disagree
