Nice man, decent man, consistent, and a very good coach but I’m not sure he’s championship Caliber at a Miami level. Some will call me a troll and that’s fine, but I have concerns. I think the guy is a 9-10 win coach -which is AWESOME if you’re Michigan or Georgia, but Miami is just different. That won’t work here.

I WANT to believe, but I just don’t know. I see many things that’s concerning (schottenheimer styled playcalling, mediocre defense)

Yes, 100%. Absolutely. He is recruiting at a significantly higher level then we were when the roster he managed a 10-win season with this year was created. We will hit on one of Perry or Williams at quarterback and then we fuggin'. At that point all these over-reactive soul-searching questions and temperamental vaginal meltdowns on the board will cease and we can get back to being Miami Hurricane fans again like we were for about four weeks this year.

He's the best head coach we have had in a long time. I think he can win one, but right now what he is doing is getting Miami back on the level to compete. Once we start competing with the big boys we can start worrying about that.

Obviously you have the right man for job picked out. After winning 10 games for first time in how many years, played for ACC champioship and aback to back top 10 recruiting classes. Roster still short OL, DL but is getting closer to being able to compete with the final four guys. Not sure you do want to win, just whine.

We haven’t won 10 games in a season since 03 or 04.... richt did it on a team with what 67 scholarships , malik rosier starting , and with major injuries on the offensive side of the ball and was still only 1 game a away from a playoff birth

We were a decent quarterback away from making the playoffs in year 2. And that's without the roster being completely filled out. Have some patience my brother.

I don't know. I do know that he was the right man for the job at the time, whether he wins it all or not.

With the classes he’s bringing in, absolutely. I think we were a competent QB away this year from being in the CPF.

I think if I recruit 3 Top 5 classes in a row at Miami, I could win a national championship. You say Richt is a 9-10 win coach, if not for the hurricane and poor QB play vs Pittsburg, Richt is a 12 win coach here. Next year's schedule isn't difficult by no means. Miami will win 11 games next year.

Right needs a Wartime Consigliere at OC.

Even Saban steps back and picks someone to run the offense.

But Richt’s gotten us places we haven’t been in a long, long time.

Richt was my #1 choice for Miami even before he left Georgia and became available. I wanted Richt more than Chip Kelly or Gruden or any of the other big name coaches that dudes on Canesport would talk about.

Dude was made for this job.

Mark Richt is one of the truly elite coaches in college football. His record speaks for itself.

He's proving me right, too. He won the Walter Camp Coach of the Year award this year.... and earned every bit of it for winning 10 games with a totally depleted roster. He's recruiting like an absolute beast.

If he finishes out this recruiting class with just the guys we lead with - Nesta, Briggs, Chatman, Chatfield, Ezzard, Goss, and possibly Campbell - that will be a top 3 class and it will blow away everybody else in the ACC by a mile.

He's building a champion here. Anyone who knows what they're looking at can tell you that. It's going to be very bad news for the rest of college football.

The search for my soul came up empty, but yes, Richt can win a championship.

Les Miles won a natty. And let's not forget Jimbo Fisher and Phil Fulmer. Yes, Mark can win a natty.

Because Saban is a defensive guy. Guarantee you whomever is calling the defense, to include Jeremy Pruitt, Saban is calling the shots. Good lord, he comes unglued when his coordinators do something stupid. Dude is in their faces. Probably best to be in the booth. LoL

Rick can win a ship if he doesn’t go full Georgia ****** and have yes men all over the place and also refuses to fire anyone. I don’t think this is a championship assistant staff. The only ones that are legit are Dugans and Kool.

We will be having this conversation next year bank on it. I hope I am wrong but probably not tho!
