Scrimmage take...

I'm neutral here..wanna see whomever at QB can win on that Saturday! ...
But humor me here..I think I have an idea...
One of you stat junkies...go through last years film, and find the dropped passes,..find us the routes the receivers ran where they could get out of their jams, or got flat out mugged, and never flagged, fund the moments where our O line broke down, or wasn't on the clock for that play..take those stats out and lets see what rosiers numbers look like. I'm not defending him, he was hot trash for a few moments here and there,.. But I feel were blaming him for quite a few other defences we may have had as well! Just my $ 0.02!!

What you're asking is everyone to essentially just watch the tape and subjectively grade Rosiers performance. Thats great an all, but you have two people watch a play and they are going to give 2 completely different grades. Thats why PFF is flawed, ultimately they are just making subjective grades. So if I were to do what you suggest, all that would happen is these same people that are defending him now would say the exact same thing or blame the run game, or the ol, or something else. The fact is Rosier was just bad.

Thats why I'm using stats to quantitatively show what Rosier did. That is completely objective. Sure you can use the numbers to say what you want, but the numbers are the numbers - ANYONE who watches our games and records stats will get the exact same amount of completions/attempts/yards/td/ints which will give them the exact same comp%, adjusted yard/attempt, TD%, INT%. You can't do that with what you suggest.

Now, All you have to do is watch the tape to see how much Rosier left on the field. And I have rewatched every game (during the season, not since the season ended though). What I can tell you is while there were some points where the players screwed him, like Richards drops vs Syracuse, the vast majority of the time, I'd say he was to blame about the offense being crap. You kinda do really need the ALL-22 film to really see it, but any tape you watch you can see the opportunities we missed due to Rosier being inept. I'm not sure if it was in this thread, but ppl were discussing crossing routes and why we don't attack the middle ever, but the fact is you can watch the Syracuse game and count at least like 10+ crossing routes in that game alone. The fact is Rosier just didn't really throw it there, even if they were open. How many deep passes to JT did Rosier miss?

Lol loose cannon gootch my man you keep coming at me or down voting me because my views aren't similar to yours but I'm not ******* @ing you calling your opinion ******* obsolete you have a right to your own opinion I'm just corroborating what I and some others believe on here that rosier isn't that good of a quarter back .. To say he wasn't producing what so ever isn't fair I guess you can say that but he still was trash and even the chart by @calinative umstudent showed even furthered that Since you love statistics so much ... But it's a double edged sword and he took you to pound town man give it up at this point you're just being a little kid about it and not even debating anymore

Because I'm just not seeing how Perry is unable to beat VTech this yr but Rosier is definitely able to. If your entire reasoning for wanting Rosier this year is that he is better option if the game were played today, there really is no ******* use in continuing to talk about this.

The entire reason I want a frosh QB to start - even if they don't outright win the competition - is very ******* simple. I want to win the ******* ACC. Our goal shouldn't just be to ******* win the Coastal then lose to Wisconsin and the Bowl game. And if we start Roiser, thats what we're ******* saying.

Every single one of the offensive starters, including the QB went on to play professional football. Numerous 1st and 2nd rounders. In fact, a total, 20 players ( 1st, 2nd, 3rd teamers ) on that 2001 team on the offense side alone were eventually drafted by offenses the NFL.

We certainly did also brag about the offense of that team, and so did the record books and the NFL. We completely demolished everyone, except BC & VT. Check out those scores that offense was awesome just like the defense

That team was awesome on both sides of the ball, there's good reason it is considered the Best Ever CFB team

Slow down homie. I think people misunderstood me. I’m not trying at all to trash the offense. The offense was great, but we didn’t know they were historically great, well we did but they didn’t, until we went ham on their anointed team with their Heisman winner in the Rose Bowl.

In our 11 regular season games only 3 teams scored more than 1 TD, and Nebraska only scored after we had started drinking champagne.

When you look at that team through the perspective of the entire season, it’s very clear that both units were the best to ever take the field. For the defense, it was just obvious out of the gate. When Coker took the job, players didn’t go to him and say, I don’t care what you do. Just don’t **** with the offense. Nah. They said, whatever you do, don’t mess with the defense.

Consider it just a reminder that we bragged about BOTH sides of the LOS ....because as you agreed we had the best of BOTH worlds with that team.

Who could ask for more? That whole team was simply awesome

Regarding the 2001 team, I personally think that our offense was respected internally and externally, just as much as our defense; some may argue that the offense was better than our defense. Regardless of which argument one may make, it is a debate that will never be won, because the entire team was just that f'ucking great!

It's like arguing would you rather have a threesome, in their prime, with JennfierLopez/Halle Berry or Halle Berry/Jennfier Lopez.

Personally I think the floor is basically the exact same, and thats why i posted all the ******* stats showing how bad he was, especially in our big games. if he performed that **** in the big games, why are you so worried how the freshman will do? Thats what doesn't make any sense. It literally cannot get much worse than how he performed. thats just a fact, and why this comment still doesn't defend any of his stats from those games - because its impossible and you know it.

So unless you think Rosier is suddenly going to become accurate and play the entire season how he did 5 out of the first 6 games of the season, it just doesn't make sense to want him over Rosier.

By your “anyone but Rosier” logic , we should have started Shirrefs last year right ? Even tho when he came he in he looked like complete *** we should have started him because there’s no way he was worse than Rosier right ? You really believe Nkosi could’ve won 10 games last year and he can’t be any worse than Rosier ? Did you sleep through Kirby Freeman and Robert Marve ?
