Scrimmage 2 a wrap

You better hope he plays better and doesn't throw 3 interceptions in one game.

(Cue Rosier defenders saying he actually didn't play bad and that it was the best VTech defense in the history of the school.)

Just because you repeat your talking points doesn't mean everyone else will. If the numbers didn't convince you the first time, they won't the second time either.

IMO, 3 interceptions are 3 interceptions. Malik was 11 for 22 with 3 interceptions against VT.

I think he will be much better this year for several reasons, but regarding this conversation, to reiterate, I would rather he not have 3 interceptions in any game this season.

Would you have preferred him to be 20/32 with 2 interceptions? Do you think Josh Jackson played better than Malik that night?

No. I think Miami played better than VTech that night.

Im not one of the newbies that will get into a pointless argument with you, when in all actually, you just get off on creating dumb debates. Good day, good sir!

If Malik just plays this season like how he did against vt and notre dame(not spectacular but game manager with a handful of big plays) we will enter the acc championship game undefeated with a realistic shot at a playoff birth win or lose
Eh didn’t really like the va tech game from him 3 picks is way too many

I've been on here longer than you. Hopefully you've realized that cherry picking your stats is intellectually dishonest.

Out of Will Grier, Kelly Bryant, Malik Rosier and Daniel Jones, who wants to rank them by their QBR against Va Tech last year? Or does anyone want to guess who had the highest QBR against Va Tech throughout the entire regular season?

Seven pages on a vague comment and zero factual information on the scrimmage, I'm not sure why I'm surprised.

Can someone with VIP access summarize this. Thanks

VIP Notes: Buzz From Saturday's Scrimmage

-They assume the three headed monster is in reference to RB's. They heard Gray had a couple TDs from the FB position, and did play some RB.

-Garvin/Bethel was in the backfield a lot, Ross had a sack, Dean had 2 pics, Jaq had 1

-Njoku made plays

-Jordan looked like a better blocker, Mallory continued to be a factor in the passing game

- Perry looked like the best QB
-Cam Davis, Homer and Deejay are the 3 headed monster
-Bethel had a couple of sacks
-Evidence shined
-Dean had an INT and so did the other Ivy.
No where in the article does it mention Cam Davis or Perry

lol, not one mention of Perry in that article.

Homer, Dee Jay and Grey are the 3 headed monster, grey had 2 td's.

2 picks by Dean.

Rousseau, Garin and Bethal spent much on the night in the backfield.

Evidence had a big night.

TE Jordan worked with the first-team offense – which was expected – and caught a number of passes including a post over the middle that went for around 40 yards. Fellow freshman TE Will Mallory was active in the passing game, as well. Jordan also seemed to be more comfortable blocking than during last weeks' scrimmage which should be viewed as a positive given that he will likely start against LSU.

Thats about it.

Sounds like Polendey had a good game. Don’t think the QB would want to offend any of the RB left out of the three that had a good scrimmage.

Three headed monster refers to a mythical beast with three heads. In modern sports nomenclature it is often appropriated to mean “a threat of three persons” or a “person with three skillful attributes”. I think both are a mistake in this context, and here’s why:

My guess is that Malik has an engaging History professor and he’s finally excited about the subject for the first time since he learned the Greek alphabet in 9th grade. It’s opened up his eyes to the opportunity of teaching after football, and brought him back to an old dream of shaping young hearts and minds with intentional, passionate mentoring.

Still seeing himself as distinct from his current academic setting of a university, he is likely considering an education model that attempts to do more than train students who are more or less in the twighlight of their scholastic career. Because of this, I presume he will look to join the faculty of a school that practices Classical Education, which focuses on training the whole student (ie, person) rather than a bunch of subjects.

This assessment is pretty easily confirmed by the comments of Deejay Dallas and Brevin Jordan. Dallas is watching this transition occur in real time, having seen the dead hearted apathy that Rosier lived in last year. He’s bearing witness to Rosier’s transition from middling student last year to the charismatic educational visionary of today.

Jordan’s tweet is not the same in form but speaks to the same reality. If we know anything about Jordan’s accolades in high school, it’s that he was a 5* AP Honor Student in History, and is expected to major in something other than sports (because Sports is not a major offered at any university). Jordan is seeing the new, pure Rosier, apart from any academic shortcomings last year, and is inspired by the raw rabidity with which he approaches the Roman conquest of Gaul.

All of this is moot is Rosier doesn’t perform on the field of academic research, but overall it is very encouraging.

All of this is to throw LSU off the scent of Deejay, Jordan and AR on the field at the same time, because that is def what this is about.

But from what I am hearing not as encouraging as his Socratic seminars in the huddle.

I think you are right

Lol, I see you edited your post 6 minutes after I replied. Weird. Anyway, it's funny to see how our fans react when presented with facts or opposing points of view. Guess it's just creating a "dumb debate". You're shown what a really poor performance looks like (Josh Jackson that night), and how every other QB Va Tech faced that season played worse (including NFL prospects Grier and Jones), and respond with uh I think Miami played better. It's only a dumb debate if you prefer to pedal your agenda instead of acknowledging facts that contradict your point of view. So yes, I would agree it's best for you to continue to talk with the people that already agree with you.

Why are ppl complaining about VT when we dominated them the entire game??

Rosier threw 2TDs and 3 interceptions one was a tip pass, the other was a 50/50 ball which is a risk you take when you trust your WRs so who cares?? some of y’all make fake points just to bxtch.
