SCOTT COVINGTON......

Happy to hear about another name drop from you. Fella, do you have anything going for you other than post on cis who you knew in the past. Sad man; don’t you realize when you continually mention people you may have had contact with it makes you appear like a jerk.
Who's mom? I once ran into Burt Perriman after a practice on Greentree in the '80's.

It should be easy to understand how to ***** up a program like ours..Hire garbage coaches who hire garbage assistants.
Will never understand how any school could make so many dog**** coaching hires in a row. Could say it was because the school was so cheap, but I think they paid Richt a decent salary.
Program is just so bad it barely belongs in D1. Losing over and over to chickencrap teams like UVA. I don’t think we would have ever done that back in the dreadful 60ss and 70s.
Just disgraceful and sickening. Can Diaz be as BAD as his four predecessors? I hope not, but at this point, who knows? Don’t see him doing much unless we get a functioning QB and OL, and we know Emmert will sit Tate.

Ryan Clement's best season, 96 - 2,257yds 19TD's & 8INT's at 60.3%cmp
Miami went 9-3 wining a bowl game vs UVA.

Scot Covington's best season, 98 - 2,301yds 19TD's & 8INT's at 58.9%cmp
Miami went 9-3 winning a bowl game vs NC St.

In 96 we had Dyral McMillan, Danyell Ferguson, Edge in his True Freshman year, Trent Jones, Yatil Green, Magic Benton, Tony Gaiter & Jermaine Chambers. Our Defense had a very good secondary with guys like Tremain Mack who was a dope return man, Duane Starks, Carlos Jones, & Earl Little, plus Kenard Lang, Kenny Holmes, James Buress & Twan Russell.

In 98 we had Edgerrin James come into his own as arguably the greatest RB in school history, he had a legendary season that year. James Jackson & Najeh Davenport were beasts too, we had a great 3 headed monster backfield, plus Santana Moss, Reggie Wayne, Andre King & Daryl Jones.

That 98 Defense was loaded with Ed Reed, Al Blades, Nate Brooks, Leonard Myers, Delvin Brown, Mike Rumph, Dan Morgan, Nate Webster, Mike Smith, Rod Mack Damione Lewis, Matt Sweeney & Mike Lawson.
That 98 defense may have been loaded but those players wouldnt truly come into their own until 2000 although 99 was a big improvement. That 98 defense sucked especially the pass defense. We had to outscore anyone with a pulse at qb because we couldn't stop anyone's passing game. Come to think of it the run defense wasn't that great either. The 98 defense got Bill Miller fired and with good reason. The following year in 99, Monkey Boy brought in a downhill attack scheme and we were much better.

The Defensive system sucked. Too much zone nonsense. Schiano came in 99 and changed our D into a more aggressive system with more man to man coverage.
