Scott’s Pick Six

Play was in slow motion before he caught it

When Bain impacted the QB and saw Smith miss the block (Scott is the most unblockable DB I’ve seen in recent memory) it was like time stopped for a second
That’s the thing I don’t think people realize. Bain made Sayin speed up the play with the rush and also with the angle he took I believe he took Sayins vision away so that he never saw Scott.

Ive NEVER seen a DB his size do what he does, I would have to go back and watch the honey badger full tape or something to see if he was taking on blocks and setting the edge or just in specialize packages blitzing on passing downs to say definitively..

Antrel for us his last season was a beast at nickle but back then they werent asked to do this much I dont think either and his size was a difference maker (pause)..

The stuff we ask him to do at that spot and the fact he excels at all of it, I just never seen it, set the edge consistently, blitz, take on olineman, take on pulling TEs, spy, contain, get outside, take on double teams on screens, LIVE IN THE BOX, and then cover slots at a high degree, that is a very special skill set to ask for AND then play at a level where it makes you question if he on a level with rabies infested short arm bad body Bain from down to down..

Dude set a standard for nickle like Cam did for QBs, where you cant even expect the next guy to reach that standard of play but from now on, you should know what it looks like..

Yes, it was like time slowed down in slo mo. As soon as I saw him side step Smith, I started jumping up and down and saying ‘oh ****’ over and over and that was before he even caught it.

Tbf, I also told my son I really felt like a pick 6 was coming when OSU took over on that drive. That first play to Smith made that prediction look a little shaky… but man, did Keionte raise his stock up big time with that pick 6 or what? That’s film study, technique and aggressiveness traits all rolled into one undeniable play for the scouts.

It reminded me of that one HS highlight where someone picked off a toss sweep.

It was a crazy sequence!!

This pick 6 is the next play after a completed bomb to Smith that put them deep onto our side of the field. Momentum OSU..

Not so fast!!

To think how different this game may have turned out if Bain gets a paw on that ball that he tried to swat away.

He was so ******* close to getting to that ball and Canes fans are forever thankful he didn’t knock it away!!

That pick 6 will go down as one of the most electrifying plays in the history of the program and we have a vault full of electrifying plays to choose from.

Let’s Go!!!!

How long did it take you to think Bandy in 17? Took me about seven yards after the int. That kid is amazing. The instincts of Reed and football intelligence of Lewis. Looking forward to see how his career develops.
Actually never thought about Bandy until you just brought this up. That is how far ND is removed from my brain right now.

Actually the next play was a Bain sack, THEN this. So after a monster play our two most effective defenders turned the game around.
