SCORE PREDICTION --- Canes - A&M

I’m not touching this lol but I think it’s pretty pointless to bring up last years UM team or TAMU team when talking about this game. It means nothing. TAMU is nothing like they were last year and we are nothing like we were last year so what happened last year and our results vs Bama last year is completely irrelevant and stupid to discuss. .02
Depends. It would appear our cornerbacks haven’t exactly improved in pass coverage. Even Tyrique has been beaten a few times but most of the throws have been off

It might look a little better once Steele starts dialing up some blitzes? We had better hope so, especially if Jimbo switches to Johnson or Weigman

Miami - 4 Turnovers
A&M - 2 Turnovers

I am concerned about being on the road at night in a pretty hostile environment. Young kids tend to make mistakes like fumbles and tipped catch attempts turning into Ints. I am more than willing to be proven wrong.

A&M 27
Miami 16

24-20 Cane gang.

People keep saying they will be mad after that L, they should have been mad after looking like garbage v Sam Houston. Their OL is bad. Maybe they are just not a good team as they are hyped up to be. Does that mean they can't beat us, nope. They can raise their game and wouldn't be surprised if they won. But we have to make having a significantly better QB count.

Not saying you're wrong. But Texas A&M has way more young players playing than us.

We roll.

15-0
Jeez, that score looks disgusting.

Taking the over. Miami 31, TAMU 21. Gattis is finally going to use our TE group for more than just blocks. Ivey, who gets rightfully ****ted on each weekend, surprisingly has a good game this weekend. **** flash-in-the-pan though--he'll be back to his ways in time for MTSU the next week. Big road win against TeamSEC. Cristobal bodies Jimbo off the top rope. Go Canes.

Just to play devil's advocate, you didn't see anything last week from TAMU that would come back to really bite them vs P5 comp?
I definitely did but the onus is on our Canes to prove we can win as a road dog vs an SEC team. I was exaggerating to make my point earlier. I'm just tired of getting all worked up just to come crashing down to earth. We may get beat or outright whipped on Saturday which I'll hate but whatever happens I am firm in the belief that Mario and staff will build this rooster up and transform us into a tough physical yet explosive and fun to watch team. The hard part may be that we might have to go through some difficult growing pains in order to get to where we want to go and as much as it sucks to hear, this game vs a chronically overrated ATM team who lost to App State may be the beginning of those growing pains. We'll see on Saturday. I do think we are good enough to beat them if we come to play.

I’m sticking with what I’ve said from the beginning, baby doll. I am genuinely concerned about TVD/Gattis at this exact moment, under these exact circumstances. Long term they probably figure it out, but this D is the best we will face all year, and we have no elite WR or good enough chemistry to offset their talent advantage. 16 points may be generous.

If it’s any consolation I think we are more likely to blow them out then they are us.
Clemson’s defense is heads and shoulders better than A&M. There’s a chance that VT has a better defense too. We’ll let the year play itself out.

I subscribe to the theory that we can do a lot of damage to them by getting up early. It won’t be enough to win, but it will make winning easier.

If I’m Steele, I am 100% employing the table tennis strategy I was taught at a young age: get the ball to their side of the table and let them make losing mistakes. Until you are a master, you let other people over-exert themselves and force errors. Keep the ball in front of you, return every volley, you’ll win more times than you lose. Haynes King is that guy and their OL has been that weak. I would not take a bunch of risks, I’d make them do things they haven’t yet (move the ball reliably and make winning plays) through their two games.

On offense I have very little confidence that we will look much better than them, sans the mistakes. The good news is we may not have to be much better to win.
The key on offense is has Gattis been holding back? Sure seems that way. If not and its more of the same and they fall in love with the run again this week gives a&m the edge. If Gattis opens it up which I think he will Miami will score in the high 20's or more. Need to see play action. Throw to the backs in space and wrinkles like the flea flicker. For Miami can they hold up for 4 quarters in the trenches? Keep TVD upright.

Parrish and X both explodes on the scene, they’re in tremendous shape instincts are an ELITE gift they both have , they will run relentlessly and never tire opening up others to do there thing.

They will keep us in field goal range all game long

FOCU FOCUS FOCUS

Final 41- 13 Canes we open the playbook in this one.

No shocker here , we are very good and worthy of TOP 10 or higher.

I hope we win, but I hope regardless of the outcome we look back in 7-8 weeks and say that was the game where we started to see the start of something we haven’t seen in a long time. Also hoping 2-3 young guys have that “I got it moment” when it all clicks. (Like Wesley B for example)

Vag Tech is ranked #5 in total defense , Clemson is #47 .... Canes are #33 and Texas A&M is #21

Texas A&M - 20
Miami - 13

I think our run game gets stuffed and passing game doesn't have quite enough juice to pull it off.
