Scary Terry opted out?

FSU will look like the last days of Saigon, with all those people trying to get aboard the last US Army helicopters, with all the guys looking to get out of there.

That place is toxic, I dont think Norvell understood what he was getting into

This is what people don't understand. They didn't want Norvell. They settled for Norvell. Top coaches saw the financial and roster issues and said no thanks. So now they have a worse financial situation, a worse roster situation, the wrong coach, and no way out. If they were a company they'd be thinking about bankruptcy. There really isn't a solution. The "right" coaches that can help them are too good for them, and they can't afford to buy their souls. They can't even think about trying to START to fix this for about two more years when they can unload Norvell. And then they will be in the same place, anyway. They are fvcked for a good long while.

True.

"Sure, you could be RB1 behind that OL in a program that needs to completely reset. Or come here, save tread on your tires the way NFL scouts love to calculate, and average 5 yards per carry as a True Freshmen who, if earned, will absolutely be fed the ball."
Plus...Lashlee/Diaz are proving every game that they're happy to feature three rbs...

FSU is in trouble. They're gonna have to sell recruits on early playing time which will be somewhat appealing; however, I don't think Norvell has the cache or gravitas to get the more highly sought recruits to buy in on rebuilding the program. He doesn't have that name-recognition or history.

I think Terry incorrectly believes that his draft stock will drop from playing with FSU this year so by opting out he is basically the player he was coming into this year and not impacted by this year. hard to say whether this is good or bad strategy.

The coach hasn't been the problem. The administration has RUINED FSU football by letting the inmates run the asylum, and not letting a coach fix it. They need to make hard decisions, not new hires. FSU up to this point has refused to make hard decisions.

Norvell, however, comes across as a player coddling fool that the players will never fully respect. FSU needs a hardass SOB that will make the quitters quit, and recruit young men that want to work hard to be the best they can be. FSU is loaded with clowns that are all about themselves and no one else. The administration needs to let a coach clean house, no questions asked.

The best thing fsu can do is just start as many freshmen as they can. Season is cooked food, might as well just give the youngin's their bumps and bruises now.

No worries. They're getting Bob Stoops!

He’d probably hurt his draft stock by continuing to play. The team is awful, they have no QB and lastly, Dugans is a douche. I’m not risking corona/injury for a one (maybe two) win team.
