Scary part is our defense will be better in 2020....

I'm with you, man. It's Optimistic Monday. I'm just turning over a new leaf for a day to try it out and see how it feels.

That said, IF Manny can get this team across the finish line at 9-4, AND he can convince the juniors who are eligible to turn pro to come back for another year, we could be looking at an offense in its second year with the same staff and returning every starter except for KJ, and a defense returning every major contributor except for the three linebackers (I include Finley in that), Bethel, and Knowles. If McCloud comes back and Huff and Brooks, plus Frierson are as good as we think they will be, there'll be a chance that there will be some legitimate reason for optimism.

I know, I'm just high.
I try but it only last until Sunday. But I hope you hold on to it for as long as possible. What else do we have? Our administration never ifres anyone without first giving them a extension because fans are screaming for the coaches scalp.

And if jadean phillips turns out to be as advertised then for sure it would only help garvin stock value to increase for the next level. garvin for sure needs to stay and avoid the pitfalls of leaving early chasing early dollars.

oh forgot to add j. harvey to the mix. all reports are that he as much as a beast as #15 at he same stage of development.
It’s Jalen but yeah

We need Garvin to come back for his senior year. Having Rousseau play across from him is critical to both of their success and reducing the amount of double teams either will face. If Garvin comes back, he will benefit greatly from the success #15 has had and the attention that GR will draw going forward.

Any hope for significant improvement next season, on both sides of the ball, is going to be heavily determined by the choices the underclassmen make on going to the draft to be a late round pick or staying for another year to improve their draft stock.

I think Jeff Thomas is in all likelihood gone, but if everyone else sticks around, that would be a huge help to Manny in getting this thing on track.

JT4 might leave but he could easily go undrafted for all his off the field issues.... I really hope he doesn’t make that dumb decision to leave early

Come on dude. Stop with ****ting on shaq.

Shaq is GAWD awful in space

This is solely my opinion, Shaq is only affective IF he has a disruptive Dline and it’s no coincidence with Roussseau going berserker mode that we’re seeing Shaq play cleanup man from opposing Olines breaking completely down

You are making at gigantic assumption at LB.
Agreed. Just like this year in the secondary, the LB’s will mis assignments and it will result in chunk plays for the first half of the year. But the athletic potential at Lb can be higher than the last 3 years.
I’ll admit tho that Shaq absolutely played his best game EVER in his last FSU matchup at the Doak, which is ******* legendary.

Linebackrr wise gotta see it first. Yes Manny pulled it off with Mike Shaq and Zach before but can't bet on it now so transfer portal time. DL and secondary wise though I think we can go head to head with Clemson tbh if they truly make the jump I expect

I think so. Even in games we’re shaq played shabby he still breaks his a$$ IMO
Don't think anybody said that Shaq doe's not play hard, but lack of speed and instincts doe's not bode well for a linebacker. He is and always has been a great ambassador for the CANES.

I hear you. He’s not the fastest yes but I’ve seen guys with speed and no desire to get to the ball as well. To me shaq runs to the ball with purpose. I guess I misunderstood you.
