Scary part is our defense will be better in 2020....

Didn't say the backers will be better, but Avery Huff, Sam Brooks, and De'Andre Wilder are all more athletic guys, besides Pickney
and then add mccloud and jennings to the mix. it should be fine. we certainly loose experience but we gain so much speed at the LB poaition. I take the trade! actually, im somewhat more concern with loosing Finley at the striker position. he has played very well that last two years

Dline will be even better, secondary will continue to improve, we are going to replace starters at LB with more athleticism, 2020 and 2021 we could have legit top 5 defenses.

I know we give Shaq and Pink some slack from time to time but I think we will have some growing pains with them leaving. However, I am very excited to get some more speed back there with McCloud, Brooks, Huff and Cave!

Shaq is on pace for 100+ tackles and 15+ TFLs. Pinckney was having a good year before the injuries (would be on pace for nearly 80 tackles, 13 TFLs, and 5-6 sacks). They're also #1 and #2 on the team in non-sack QB hurries this year, which have helped the DL eat.

The LB bashing needs to stop. They haven't been elite every game, but they've been elite in some games, and at least decent in just about every other game. That is what an all-conference type of season looks like. They have some weaknesses (Shaq isn't the fastest LB in the country) but a lot of strengths (sure tackling, typically in the right place, get downfield quickly), just like all good players.

If you don't think Shaq has had a good year, what would a good year have looked like for him? 120 tackles? 150 tackles?

The bar some of you guys hold our LBs to is totally unreasonable.

2020? Our defense gives up no more than 3TD the rest of the way. Maybe the opponents get a couple garbage time points but we’re hitting our stride defensively. Confidence is the biggest change from earlier in the year.

The offense is the only thing holding us back bc Enos and his scheme is trash. That sh*t may work at UGA and Bama but we will never reach our potential offensively running a pro style offense. We have a mobile QB and are choosing not to take advantage of the one v one matchups a mobile QB can create. If the D isn’t worried about the QB as a running threat then that leaves a defensive player free to double up elsewhere. Just bc we were in shotgun this weekend doesn’t mean sh*t. We need more spread concepts in our offense and more spread formations.

EDIT: again, Manny said we got 9 sacks bc we faced a stationary target. Why is he allowing Enos to make Jarren be a stationary target when Jarren could execute zone reads and designed runs effectively? Why in the **** is Manny letting Enos recruit stationary targets when he knows defenses like his eat facing those type of QBs? Get Enos out of Miami ASAP.

LOL. What a well-thought-out reply!

I gave you numbers, context, and perspective. You gave me a cliche.

Either (A) you're a troll, (B) you know you're dead wrong, (C) you are cognitively incapable of putting together a compelling counterargument, or (D) multiple of the above.

I'm a realist, the LBs have not been good this year and you're kidding yourself if you think they have, stats don't tell the whole story. It's great, we won a game, I'm ecstatic, but that win doesn't erase the **** poor play we've seen way too often this season.
