Scarlett VS Walton

Scarlett = physical freak, stud RB. Walton = fundamentally sound, solid RB.

The gap between the 2 is pretty wide IMO.

Walton vs Yearby is more realistic question

we fsu of the 90's

we get the good players fsu gets the elite players, we done traded places. they used to get our left overs now they get first dibs. true story.

they r always loaded while we gota wait n see of they r any good.

Bro FSU has ALWAYS had better recruiting classes than Miami even in the 80's and 90's

This.

Ill take it a step farther... he'll be our leading rusher after 12 games...

I'm high on Yearby but I'm very high on Walton himself.

There are idiots on here who think Scarlett is a better RB. I just facepalmed myself.

Mark Walton is going ot be a great RB for us.

And you have an eye for rb talent

THese knuckleheads keep saying he doesn't have breakawy speed but fail to realize he isn't some speed back.

Mark Walton can do it all. He has great patience, vision, cutting ability, can catch out of the backfield but what is most important the guy is a strong assedd runner. He's MUCH bigger than what people think and he's strong as **** AND he finishes off runs.

On a BTW team Mark Walton was the leader and also clear cut best player/athlete. Easily. All those kids with D1 offers on that team looked up to Mark Walton., Just remeber that.

I don't think it's about Scarlett vs Walton

It's about why haven't Folden and company
Not stock pike rbs when they had a chance
Our back field should be loaded in each class
Folden had a chance at a least 1-3 backs per class

Your having the same issue at wr yes we have some talent
But even if you signed 2 south Florida or even 1 south Florida
Wr and coupled it with the barrios then the offense would be crazy silly

i think we learn alot of about scarlett and walton this yr as it looks like they both have a shot at the back up job or even the starting job if they really impress

The recruiting rankings are right more times than not and Mark was the #9 back in the nation while scarlett was #20 .....now ask the recruiting experts who's better.

the recruiting rankings arent gonna be able show you 20 guys with better senior highlights then scarlett tho i garuntee that

his ranking was honestly a head scratcher to me looks like a top 50 player from highlights he's big, fast, and making guys look stupid w/ some of his cuts aka college ready plus he killed it in the playoffs for sta

+1 I swear they don't get it. Everybody gets it but our coaches and its sad

Everybody loves rankings right.. whybdoes rivals and others all have walton ranked higher than scarlett. Before he re classified he was ranked the top runningback in the country and now hes a nobody?

Walton was the starting RB on the #1 team in the country... He was more hyped...... We can go down the line of hyped running backs ( TRavis Minor, Charlie Jones, James Wilder Jr.) Those were all 5 star RB's who didnt deserve the rankings.....it happens mane...

Travis Minor ran for 3,200 yards (5.0 ypc) and 28 TDs had 800 receiving yards. He's FSU's 3rd all-time leading rusher. I wouldn't lump him in with the others.

Yea but we always got the better talent back then even if magazines said otherwise, with the age of the internet (last ten years) we now really get the less talented guys. Miami knew what it was doing then cuz we had our eyes focused down here, no more advantage of that n e more.

This is my opinion even if some magazine said fsus class were better then ours, u mean to tell me ed reed n ray Lewis would be bumbs at fsu? Negative
Them boys were the better players then no matter where they went. Now guys like cook etc fsu know about n the world so now they r getting the right kids. We aren't
It's about players just like our current coach says JJ says Bowden says and every other good fkin coach says, it's always about players at the college level. That's y we need butch, nikkas talkin bout chud Lol dude won't recruit well and will lose even if he plays tic tax toe.no one knows who da *** chud is they know butch tho.
Bad examples with Reed and Lewis as neither was that highly regarded. Lewis signed with us in April well after National Signing day and Reed was barely recruited because of 2 star rating

I was really hoping for Walton and Jordan Cronkrite as the RB tandem. I did not like Dexter Williams as he had no shakes and something always felt off with Scarlett. Scarlett is a great back but I did not see him staying a Cane. I thought he was SEC most likely.

Jordan Cronkrite has fight, speed, quicks, and can play DB if RB did not work out. Was sorry to see him jump out of the committed club with 3 RB's on the list. Too bad his handlers could not get him to see that 2 guys were going to leave. How is he doing at Florida anyways?

Agree with Dwinstitles. Sean Taylor wasn't even in Tom Lemming's top 100 then...let that sink in.
MiamiJoe...FSU recruited Lewis...but on a recruiting visit, He was told that He had to sit behind Brooks for several years, said He didn't want to do it. But you're right that Lewis was a late signee, but only because one of the starting LBs got hurt that year.

And yet, the linebacker from Arizona had one offer, while Matthew Thomas was a 5 star recruit. Nick O Leary was a 5 star TE, while Warford played basketball, Both were drafted this spring. Christian JOnes was a 5 star recruit, and well as Jeff Luc, both went undrafted like Thurston Armbrister. Talent isn't our problem. FSU has always out recruited us. Going all the way back to Joe Mauer, and Chris Weinke.
