Scarlett VS Walton

Walton. Better RB specific skill set. Grinder. Zone or power blocking scheme

Scarlett Better athlete* Hr hitter. One cut guy will excel in a zone scheme. Not sold on his actual vision or patience.

Walton is my pick. If Scarlett came here it would be an easier congratulation because of same Comp. Training coaching and team
Sounds like the Yearby vs Cook comparison last year...

Yea i was aboslutely wrong with the yearby vs cook comparison but yearby didnt play as much as cook but with the limited time seen cook curb stomps him

Everybody loves rankings right.. whybdoes rivals and others all have walton ranked higher than scarlett. Before he re classified he was ranked the top runningback in the country and now hes a nobody?

Walton was the starting RB on the #1 team in the country... He was more hyped...... We can go down the line of hyped running backs ( TRavis Minor, Charlie Jones, James Wilder Jr.) Those were all 5 star RB's who didnt deserve the rankings.....it happens mane...

Travis Minor ran for 3,200 yards (5.0 ypc) and 28 TDs had 800 receiving yards. He's FSU's 3rd all-time leading rusher. I wouldn't lump him in with the others.
I wouldnt put Wilder in their either. He played rb but was never a rb if that makes any sense. He would have made noise as a rush end/lb

Bro FSU has ALWAYS had better recruiting classes than Miami even in the 80's and 90's

Thank u

Yea but we always got the better talent back then even if magazines said otherwise, with the age of the internet (last ten years) we now really get the less talented guys. Miami knew what it was doing then cuz we had our eyes focused down here, no more advantage of that n e more.

This is my opinion even if some magazine said fsus class were better then ours, u mean to tell me ed reed n ray Lewis would be bumbs at fsu? Negative
Them boys were the better players then no matter where they went. Now guys like cook etc fsu know about n the world so now they r getting the right kids. We aren't
It's about players just like our current coach says JJ says Bowden says and every other good fkin coach says, it's always about players at the college level. That's y we need butch, nikkas talkin bout chud Lol dude won't recruit well and will lose even if he plays tic tax toe.no one knows who da *** chud is they know butch tho.
Bad examples with Reed and Lewis as neither was that highly regarded. Lewis signed with us in April well after National Signing day and Reed was barely recruited because of 2 star rating

Agree with Dwinstitles. Sean Taylor wasn't even in Tom Lemming's top 100 then...let that sink in.
MiamiJoe...FSU recruited Lewis...but on a recruiting visit, He was told that He had to sit behind Brooks for several years, said He didn't want to do it. But you're right that Lewis was a late signee, but only because one of the starting LBs got hurt that year.

they make the mistakes. (our fans ) thinking times are the same and they arent, technology and social media has changed miami and we better adapt fast

Straight line speed does not make you better athlete , it makes you faster.
I remember Julius Jones who had great speed but needed all day finding the hole.
Mark Walton is more a instinctive runner and well rounded as a complete back.
I bet many on here would have thought Demps who played at the detention center up north would be great because he had world class speed.

Yep...see Miami used to get a lot of diamonds in the rough but now days with technology people can get themselves out there more so the players that would have been diamonds In the rough are now ranked making it harder to find them. point blank Miami just don't have the money, alumni support, and fanbase to land 5 star after 5 star recruit I know the truth hurts but it is what it is

andall these kids want the known so they go to the camps and get the exposure that kids back then would not get. agree with what u sayin if butch isnt the next guy or a super elite recruiting miami is officially dead

Not exactly. BITD, kids depended on the HS coach "getting that tape out", snail mail...unlike now, where you can slide a computer in your pocket, a kid can send College coaches game film/highlights in a matter of seconds. It's a different time now, kids nowadays can market THEMSELVES.

I wish we had both, that's two backs I really wanted, if we do anything probably better than anyone is develop running backs

Walton will be great here, playing the position comes easy to him.
Scarlett will probably end up real average at UF

Walton looked pretty **** good vs a ****** team. he showed great balance and burst and vision. good forward lean too. i generally dont take much away from games like these vs severely over matched opposition but i think you can get an idea for what certain skill players can do like RB.

Walton looks ready to play. Even more than Yearby did last year who looked great.
I hope he can pick up blocking assignments fast cause that is what Kaaya needs most out there.

a couple runs he got into the second level and took one step downfield that looked like he was shot out of a cannon. good look from Walton

They're both going to be special but I like Walton better based on 1 aspect, work ethic. His work ethic is bar none, the kid wants to be the best. Neither have the ability that Dalvin brings to the table though.

Real Talk... **** I shouldn't say to much but f**k it... Harris told Walton he considered Watlon like his son and he wanted him to wear his sons number.
