247 reporting One of the interesting personnel moves that Miami made during the Florida State game was using freshman offensive DJ Scaife more at offensive tackle.
Scaife played a lot of right tackle against the Seminoles
When Scaife was in the game at right tackle, Miami then moved Navaughn Donaldson to right guard.
Richt admitted on the Joe Rose Show on 560 WQAM that Scaife performed well enough for the coaching staff to consider making the move more of a permanent one moving forward.

“I think Navaughn is a more natural guard for us,” Richt said. Coach [Stacy] Searels and I are still debating
He had some moments where he certainly looked like a freshman, but he has some ability,” Richt said. “There is a chance that he stays out there. “He is probably the best pass protecting tackles we got,”

Only a matter of time, and the correct decision. Let him take his lumps but the OL will improve with ND at G.
 
Whatever helps us. FSU’s DL front whipped our guys all game long. We need quality depth. Bad.

Its good that we got Tarquin but we need Neal. He is the first prospect in a while that we can’t afford to miss.

Hands down the best move this staff has made all season. This is the lineup that will make this team successful.

Perfect timing. Make this permanent and let’s get this thing going. Scaife just faced the best pass rusher he will see all season.
 
Whatever they do, they need to stick with it. It seems like every series they're changing the O-line up, but this is 100% the right move

This is a trend with the staff across most position groups

richt better take diaz out to dinner every night because he might be the only reason richt still has a job lmao

even diaz is ******** up with knowles, but here we are with the number 2 overall defense...

.......and the number 70 overall offense, once again

We got to get some of us keyboard coaches on staff and move some coaches to CIS. We never wrong and if we do by chance miss on something we never will admit it. Lol
 
again a case where this board seems to have a better grasp on personnel than this staff, and like I mentioned in another thread for CMR to say in the post game press conference that they shouldve game planned for 99 is mind blowing
