SCAIFE AT RIGHT TACKLE

I agree, regarding the fact that most of our talent is unproven. That is why I mentioned that we will be okay once we get some chemistry and continuity on the O-Line.

This O-Line will be facing one of the top D-Lines everyday in practice. They will grow rapidly by that fact alone. They looked much better at the end of the spring in which they held up pretty well in the spring game, and that was without Gaynor.

I am not certain that Barry will be a great O-Line coach, but I am **** sure certain that he will be better than what we've had since Jeff Stoutland. I am a huge Bucs fan, and their organization was very high on Barry. The players responded to him very well, better than the actual O-Line coach. Since he has been at Miami, IMO, in just the one month of spring practice, our Oline looked better than it did all of last year.

Good points.

What worries me most is depth, experience, new system, poor S&C under Felder, and Tommy Kennedy appearing to be a huge bust. Nelson is a breath of fresh air but we're already penciling him into the top 8 (along with Scaife, Donaldson, Gaynor, Herbert, Reed, Campbell, Hillery). It just doesn't feel great when 5 of our top 7 OL from 2018 are gone, and 5 of of the 13 current OL are pretty shaky (Brown, Kennedy, Dykstra, Elgammal, Clark).

Perhaps worst since 1997 is a stretch but we play Florida in 3 months and our starting LT is a 17 year-old 2-star recruit who weighs 270 lbs. And I like Nelson.

Scaife will be a good player at tackle for us (either right or left) but will be a guard at the next level. He looked pretty **** good at RT for being a true freshman in a BS scheme.

This line has talent and we have a real OC that won’t make life worse for them with predictable play calling. I don’t expect this line to be a strength until 2020 when they have everyone coming back.

This will be our worst OL since 1997

LT Scaife | Nelson | Elgammal

LG Donaldson | Hillery | Lerman

C Gaynor | Kennedy | Clark

RG Reed | Campbell | Griffith

RT Herbert | Brown | Dykstra
One of your most horrible takes. Starting 5 lists 4 blue chip recruits if it ends up like that meanwhile uf will have a line full of 3star players outside of the right tackle Delance who isn’t good

You articulated reason to be concerned, for sure. I share those same concerns. My hopes are based upon our potential, and I will admit, that's not the ideal situation to be in heading into 08/24.

Real quick on Nelson: I was terrified when I heard he was taking 1st team reps at LT. However, seeing him in person at the Spring Game, I came away very impressed, and that was with him being at 270lbs. Florida is not going to send anyone on that field that can hold a candle to Garvin and Rousseau. Going through a few more months of S&C with Feeley, and summer/fall workouts against our beast DE's, I think Nelson is going to surprise a lot of people. He put on 30 good lbs since his arrival in January. Its reasonable to believe that he can add on another 15-20 before 08/24. We know Feeley is going to increase his power. If he goes into the Florida game at 285+, I think he will hold his own in that game!

I think we will be pleasantly surprised how much progress the OL makes from last season.

I'm leaning this way as well. People underestimate just how much a ****** offensive system with a ****** offensive coordinator can make an O Line look worse than what they really are. Make no mistake about it, the version of Mark Richt we got was NEXT LEVEL ATROCIOUS.

We have been victims of high school level offensive coaching around these parts for the better part of the last decade. If Enos is anywhere near as meticulous as what he's been sold as.....we're going to see the offense take a big jump, and quick.

It's funny, the season before Manny got here we were all feeling this way about the defense. Amazing what a good system can do and how quick your perceptions can change about an entire unit. Coaching, in college football moreso than many other sports, makes a HUGE difference.

There's potential at the top but very little experience.

The fact that Gaynor, Reed, Hillery, Herbert, Campbell couldn't crack last year's horrific rotation should at least give you some pause.

I was impressed with Nelson's frame when I saw him on campus when he first arrived. He was walking around with Harvey and Payton looking for the white women.

Im telling you if we get one more good OT, the OL will be good. Herbert is finally turning the corner, Scaife is legit, Zion Nelson is progressing, and one more good OT will do wonders. Campbell, Donaldson, Hillery, and Reed can all be guards, then you add Gaynor as the center. That's a pretty good 2 deep OL and as long as we can develope continuity and stop moving people around the chemistry will be there.

Our Offensive Play Calling will make a big difference in our effectiveness on the OLine as well as a significant difference in our Defense.

Efficiency and sustainment in drives will help our defense.

Creativity, execution, and play mix will help our offensive line.

Can't wait to see a real offense.

Lots of blue chip recruits on our OL. It’s up to Enos and Barry to get them humming in a modern offense that uses some deception and doesn’t allow defenses to tee off on them.

Scaife is an absolute stud. So is Donaldson. Reed is a bull. Gaynor is tough and nasty. Campbell is a bigtime talent with a mean streak. Get them ready!

The talk about Gaynor was positive this spring but his injury opened the door for Zion Nelson, and now it feels like Gaynor is the challenger. Anyone else feel that way? This is the same Gaynor who fell behind Jones, Mahoney, Boulware at guard after Donaldson was moved to tackle, and who never challenged undrafted free agent Gauthier at center. I don't think anyone expected for Donaldson be competent at center but it's a move that appeared to pay off.

Gaynor is a Center, so he wasn't behind anyone besides Gauthier.

What the **** happened with Kennedy?..........is he not part of the S& C program, or is it speed, playbook or talent?...
Thought highly of his prospects but it has not panned out?.....frustrating as ****.......

It’s simple, while he’s a good technician in terms of technique, he lacks the physical strength to make an impact at a power 5 level. If he wants to play this he needs to be working over time with the strength staff to get stronger

Thanks Brock.............can he make strides over the summer, and up the ante?.....Is enough there, to make a difference, and contribute this year?.

You can tell the offer was rushed going off of his hype purely out of desperate need for another body on the oline with the hopes that he was at least be good enough to be in the rotation.

But when you look at a picture of him, he looks soft and like a kid that belongs at a Mormon retreat before playing for BYU... he is completely out of his element at Miami. I wouldn’t be surprised if he leaves because he’s not going to the NFL so what’s the point of grad transferring to a team just to end up on the practice squad??

Their Oline is their biggest question next to DB. Felipe is about to be a victim of a hate crime.
