Did you really just ask why Butch doesn’t have FIU in the top 20 in recruiting? That can’t be a serious question. Nobody on planet earth would have FIU in the top 20.

If you don’t like Butch just say it, but don’t make dumb*** comments like that. It doesn’t help your case at all.

Miami just can't win. If we don't offer then as sophomores we waited too late. When we offer them early like that they use I'd for other offers. We just can't win

This. I’m probably the least likely person on this board to be defending this staff at this point (and it’s really a back handed defense) but we’ve seen this movie before.

That's because we've become the fall-back program for alot of the highly-recruited kids...it is what it is and it happened for being mediocre over a bunch of years.

10000% but it still doesn't mean some of these local kids ain't post-facto liars about if they would've ever actually committed to and stuck with us. It's seriously like the worst of both worlds right now.

Lose lose situation. That's south florida recruiting tho. We're recruiting mercenaries.

it’s the job of the staff to decide who to recruit, and how to recruit them.

Absolutely. And they're not cutting it. I just try to refrain from getting my own jimmies rustled when a kid like Rosemy says this stuff way after the fact and there's a good chance he's lying.
 
Nobody believes this but ima laugh if he gets treated like the uga recievers outside of pickens have been treated. That wr room is filled with blue chippers and the coach threw them all under the bus
 
Rosemy is a bytch and will be in Transfer portal in a few years...
Talk about recruiting....For the season we had...and losing to FIU...
To have practically a top 15-16 recruiting class is a pretty friggin amazing accomplishment....
I am angry with our Coaching staff this season (especially Penos) but I wil give credit where credit is due.
Now lets fire Penos and Blake.
 
I don't buy it. Miami gets played by recruits all the time. Miami chases kids early all the time. These kids wanted to get on Miami's radar early so they could sign out of town.

Hypolite had more than ample opportunity to flip to Miami long before the Greene drama started. As for Flowe UM had no shot, but we still needed to take that shot. As for UM slow playing Hypolite in the end that was dumb on staff's part, for a kid from the pan handle who wouldn't commit publicly (meaning Greene).

Money talks but so does a winner on the field. Miami needs to either win on the field or pay off the field to get south Florida talent.
