Savor it

Grown man post

He’s not all bicep veins folks

I know for me, I’m going to take a good bit of time before the game to just appreciate it

This is a special group of young men

From the moment the team rallied around Toney and he ended up scoring the winning touchdown I knew this team was more than just talented

Indiana is a talented team full of good people and good stories I’m sure…but this group is undeniable

It’s blasphemy to say maybe, but this is the most fun I’ve ever had watching Miami

One more rep
Yep. That’s why I’m going when the gates open to enjoy the whole thing. Miami in Miami.

Was there when Danny Miller bounced one of the upright and in to beat the gator, been hooked ever since. Fortunate to be there in 83, 87 and 91 when we won it in the OB. After 01, in my wildest dreams never did I think it would be this long before we had this chance again, so yeah @Cribby, I'm with you and reveling in every minute of it

I've been a Canes fan and a Bengals fan since the mid/late 80's. Better ******* believe I've enjoyed every single second of this playoff run. Just like I did the Bengals run in 2022. Nothing but disappointment for the better part of 30 years. I still remember getting home from working afternoons in 2003, to see the last half of the 4th and all of OT against OSU in the Fiesta Bowl. It's been so long I wasn't sure I'd get to see the Canes play for Natty again. I don't care about the portal or next season at all. Focused on enjoying this ride as it happens, and enjoying Miami being the center of the College football world on Monday Night.

When you are looking at this team, remember after we played FSU, many people nationwide thought we were the best team. Losing 2 games we shouldn't have has warped people brains even Vegas somewhat. It would havebeen a travesty to have wasted a chance to be on this stage. Our team is built for this. Big NFL trenches and NFL size and speed at DB. Every team has the rest of positions.

Point is we are not some plucky underdog. Alot of the doubters are wishful thinkers. Hoping its a fluke, hoping its one off like 2017. But make no mistake if it was, we knew we would have lost another one after SMU, instead we smoked everything including at Pitt in a freezer.

Turnt into an adult around the 2000s, and we watched the steady decline. Told yall when Cristobal came in i was gonna give him 3 full cycles, which was when Bain's class was a Junior, and normally i would have said 4, but because of the portal i said 3. Now here we are.

I also said i would enjoy every single season we started acting like a big team, a big program. I was there watching us fumble the game away v GT, was there when FSU embarrassed us in 2022 at home and the fans left in like 25 mins. Havent been able to go to many home games this season cuz i started driving a flatbed truck at the end of 2024. But i was not gonna wait for the end product to enjoy the team and thats why this feels really good. The journey is worth it. We should not take committment to winning for granted for a Miami administration. We see when they did, then when they didn't and when they do again.

Also u can have more talent on a team and lose while win with a lesser talented team because of great chemistry and great team bond. We close the deal Monday night.

I think our team plays with insane amount of violence knowing this game is not only the final one of the long season but final one for alot of great players who took us out of the depths of H€££.

Starting with key players from the salvage class. Wesley, Cooper, McCoy etc and players who joined off 5-7 who became absolute super stars Like Francis and Bain. They delivered under the weight of 23 years of expectations from a desert thirsty fanbase. This is probably gonna be our favorite team of this era, most likely one of the least talented overall but favorite. I think so

We here.

Left for dead early November. The CFP committee gave this team new life in December. These men know that they were given a chance to prove to the world that they belong.

So far they have risen to the occasion.

Now they have to find a way to win it all in their house.
How much does the committee regret that decision now? 🤣🤣. They set up a gauntlet they knew we couldn’t get through. And we did.

Happy for us old heads who finally get to see Miami back on top. And happy for the new generation (and the new haters) who are finding out for the first time just how electric it is when the Canes are on the mountaintop.

Everything feels great. I actually like football again. Nobody is ever indifferent about Miami — you either hate us or you’re happy for us, but you’re never neutral.

I’m up in North Atlanta, went to Aldi the other day, and an older guy came up to me just to say he was glad we knocked out Ohio State. Then at Publix, some little trash-talking manlet saw my Canes hoodie and asked if I had just bought it — trying to make a bandwagon joke. I loved it. That’s the Miami effect.

Nobody talks about Indiana or half these other programs like they talk about Miami. People always have something to say — good or bad — and I’m glad to be associated with a program that inspires passion instead of indifference.

It’s been a helluva run. A run most people didn’t see coming and I’ve savored every moment of it. Stuff like this isn’t guaranteed as we’ve found out from he last 23 years. Win or lose I’ve gotten more enjoyment from this squad than any team of mine since the 04 Sawx. So especially to the younger guys here take it all in. Ten seeds don’t do this type **** , repeatedly knocking oft much higher seeds and proving folks wrong. None of this is surprising to most here but it’s still glorious to experience . A truly special group. We’ll likely have more talented teams down the road but this is the one that that killed a laundry list of narratives.
Appreciate all that you do on this board my brother! Been following the team since the 01 team; and its all been worth it.

I agree with everything you wrote. We did back our way in. But we DESERVED to be in the 12-team playoff. The only reason we're ranked so low in the first place is SEC bias and SEC/ESPN rankings corruption. 5 SEC teams. What a joke.

This to me is very similar to how I felt in 1983.

Early loss - but hoping to see more improvement. Then, it was all polls. And we slipped into the National Championship game due to some really odd bowl game losses by teams in front of us.

Just stunned we were even playing Nebraska. Picked to lose that one, too.

This time however, the string of victories against all these top teams - win or lose - we just let the world know that this program is for real.

Gentlemen, keep your freak on.

This time - we're not losing our coach after the game.
