Agreed. I get the point, but I hope the team is not as satisfied as the fanbase. Need to make the place an asylum not just happy to be there.

We had a top talent level team all year. The game is in Miami. Stay out of our own way and we win #6!

I have three kids, oldest is 11. They’ve been rocking Miami gear and throwing up the U since they were able, and we’re not in friendly territory.

Now they are finally getting it. Now they know what it means when I say it’s a Canes thing ...

What a time to be alive.

I'll add this:

Even though we're uber-focused on defeating Indiana right now, if we were to lose this game, losing to Indiana (as a program) is not a bad thing. I'd much rather lose to an IU who's on a magical run than to lose the title game to an Ohio State or Alabama or Notre Dame.

1. Ohio State doesn’t have an FG kicker
2. Ref call BS roughing in SMU game.

Change those two things and we have two 1 loss teams playing for the national championship, likely a pick’em (or UM slightly favored at home).

Nearly everyone is picking Indiana because they have zero losses (hence the perception they are a “perfect” , unbeatable team) and we have 2 losses. That’s pretty much the reason. few people look at the circumstances or matchups, they just see W\L record.

For me, this part has been the most rewarding. Completely destroyed several narratives out there that have plagued us for years - all in one fell swoop. Regardless of what happens Monday, that still remains a profound impact

I agree, but my god they have to see if the Canes and Hoosiers both play an A game, Canes win by 10. I guess they just think we will loose the game.
