Canes family, I’ll be honest, I never thought we’d be standing where we are right now when the season kicked off. Sitting here on my favorite holiday, it really hits home just how special this moment is. This roster is loaded with elite talent, but even more than that, it’s full of incredible people. That’s what makes this run feel different.

It’s been a long road, full of ups and downs, and now we’re finally at a place we haven't been in over two decades. This is for everyone who stuck it out. Huge respect and appreciation to Miami’s staff, administration, and players for building something we can all be proud of. And a massive thank you to @DMoney, the Maudes, and all you beautiful poRsters. This community is a big part of what makes Canes football special.

Even during the glory years, we suffered heartbreak and disappointment but nothing compares to the last 20 some odd years. The Canes have been a big part of my life for over 50 years and I honestly thought I might never see what we’re seeing today.

All CFB head coaches have faults and Mario certainly has his but no one can deny his passion and dedication to bringing Miami back from the abyss. I’ve been very impressed with the young men on this team. It’s obvious Mario looks for certain traits when choosing players to join the team.

No matter what happens 12/31/25, I’ll be proud of this team and be very hopeful for the future.

This is exactly where I'm at. We have the potential to win it all but there's no shame if we don't.

Just keep building and the future looks very bright.

The thing I love about this team is how unified they are. You could really see it during that entire game Saturday. If you look at all the great teams, there’s a connection, or bond, that extends beyond the field. The excitement and how they get amped up when their teammate makes a big play is something we haven’t seen here in a long, long time. You mix that, with the high level of talent we’ve accumulated, and you’re talking about something truly special.

This is what gives me hope that the success will endure:

The great evaluations of the last year -- in the portal and in the high school ranks. The system is working.

Toney, Fitzgerald, Pringle, Beck, Brown, Scott, Thomas, Blay, Toure, O'Connor, Poyser, Lucas, the kickers -- all key contributors.

Then there's the DC and crew.

And the financial resources are deep.

We're in a very strong position going forward.
