Sanders Tears

Not that it matters, but here are my thoughts:

1. Stop celebrating someone’s struggles and disappointments. It’s sad and a poor example for how we should treat one another. Be kind, respectful, and have a little empathy. The world would be a better place.

2. The NFL has no obligation to draft anyone. The reasons for the owner of team not wanting someone are irrelevant. Life isn’t fair, I don’t think that’s a surprise to anyone.

3. By all accounts he seems like a good kid and while not a perfect father (who is) Deion has done a lot of great things for his children. I hope those factors translate to a happy, fulfilled life for Shedeur. He is facing some adversity and disappointment. Hopefully, the positive things in his life help him overcome it.
You were raised right.

No.

I don't think Shedeur's draft stock falling has anything to do with race.

I think the glee & vitriol people have at seeing him humbled & hoping he fails is 100% about race.
I respectfully disagree. I could pass a poly that my entertainment in this is solely because of his draft room, his fathers mouth and the hype Mel Kiper and ESPN put in him disrespecting Cam.

If Archie Manning did all that and tanked interviews, I’d have the exact same feeling.

I believe you.

The shoe doesn't fit, so I'm obviously not talking about you.

I mean someone is kidding themselves if they think a lot of people out there aren’t hating strictly on race. But to say it’s 100% race is reductive.

There are tons of people that will always hate anyone they think is born with a silver spoon. The internet was FULL of people saying Arch Manning would be a 3 star prospect if it wasn’t for the name on his jersey. Those people would find a ton of joy in seeing him suck/slide in the draft.

For me it was the force feeding by the media, you’d think this dude was the second coming of christ the way he was covered. Same **** that happened with Tebow, Manziel, Trae Young (which was the absolute worst), there a million examples. All annoying. You get a lot of fans that way but you also push people away, especially when any dissenting opinion about them is just met with “You’re a hater”

But you’re not wrong in that the worst people we all know are enjoying this for all the wrong reasons.

Are you always going to have racists rooting against people they hate? Yes, but you’ll always have way more people rooting for arrogant people to be humbled.

more people tuned in, in hopes to see “Money-May” lose because of his shear arrogance more than because of the color of his skin. Meanwhile Ali is the most beloved sports figure in American history
If this isn't revisionist history Idk what is.

Ok..how would you compare Burrow's arm strength to Sanders?
That wasn’t even close to the point

My god some of yall are painful

The point was if Sanders was the clear cut #1 pick like Burrow…or Lawrence…or Cam then he still would have been even if he was taking ***** on these GMs desks

Some people, sure. Vast majority, I don't think so.

As someone who somewhat is enjoying him being humbled a bit, it is 100% ego and media driven for me. Hopefully the experiences fuels him.

Cam is confident and has shown as much in interviews. Sanders seems to care about only himself in my opinion based on what ive seen. Add in the media behavior from espn and others and you have.

Now should I be gleeful over a 22 year old being humbled? No. But I'm a human being. This situation reminds me of many employees who have came through fortune 50 companies Ive worked for. It's human nature to want to see people who exude those behaviors fail.

With that said, I'm going yo be the old man sitting at bojangles eating breakfast and ****ting on younger generations.

In terms of stats, Manziel had better numbers.

But in terms of actual ability as a passer & diagnosing Defenses, they're not in the same stratosphere. Sanders clears him on every tangible & intangible necessary to be a good QB.

Manziel had a ton of off the field issues in college & leading up to the draft, that only became compounded once he got drafted to worse franchise in sports. He was a known hard-core drug abuser; not just a little Coke, but was an opiate pill addict & hard drinker. On top of, having a really really bad work ethic.

I'm good friends with Coach Byron Thomas who was a GA at TAMU when Manziel was there & he's personally told me stories about how Manziel never studied film. And on the rare occasions when he would show up to team meetings, he always late, followed by usually falling asleep halfway through.

All of this was known by NFL front office personnel people before the draft & he still got picked in the 1st round.

It's why what round you get picked really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. It's way more crucial where you go, as opposed to when.

The same NFL that drafted Zach Wilson, Mitchell Trubisky, Mac Jones & Mark Sanchez in the 1st round, is also the same NFL that didn't think Brock Purdy was a 1st rounder.

The league is filled with people who don't really know wtf they're doing when it comes to QB's.

To be fair TrumpyCane wants you to look at the teams that drafted those losers + Manziel

Outside the patriots all of them are loser franchises including my jets so it shouldn’t be a shock they made stupid choices

Dude had time to bag an Alien Xenomorph...

#1 is an important one

Maybe it’s my age speaking but seeing him pay for dad’s mistakes is a little hard to watch. I realize the kid is his own person but I remember being 21-22 and it wasn’t pretty

At this point though if he doesn’t get picked in the top 10 or so, none of it really matters. It’s not like the family needs money once he hits a roster him and Cam Ward are the same person and it’s in his hands

There are obviously sick people who hate on others because of race. That’s never going away. Complaining about it is like complaining that the grass is green. Not going to change anything. I’m saying that for Shedur it’s more his persona than anything. People don’t seem to hate Ken Griffey Jr, Vlady Jr, Tatis Jr, or even Kellen Winslow jr for that matter as much as they hate sanders…Al black and grew up with money

Most certainly for a small percentage of cretins.

For the vast majority, I believe it is karma for two public personas (Prime and Shaduer) who have mostly come across as asshats in interactions.

To be fair, Prime has also certainly done good works for kkds throughout his career as well...so a polarizing figure for sure.

Insert the Paul brothers (or others) in Sanders position and the clowning is identical. Who is that little white kid punk teenager who tries to start fights on internet with his bodyguard next to him? Same same.

Maybe the league recognized that drafting a flashy big headed arrogant qb kid high was a mistake and they do t want to do it again?
There is a clear difference between Manziel and Sanders. From a physical standpoint and talent standpoint. The league didn’t just all of sudden have this epiphany. That is disingenuous at best.

Which is why everyone dancing on Shedeur's grave better hope he doesn't play well & have a successful career as a starter.

There's really only a handful of teams in the league that have shown their scouts & GM's are savvy at QB drafting, the rest are just winging it.
