Sanders Tears

I mean someone is kidding themselves if they think a lot of people out there aren’t hating strictly on race. But to say it’s 100% race is reductive.

There are tons of people that will always hate anyone they think is born with a silver spoon. The internet was FULL of people saying Arch Manning would be a 3 star prospect if it wasn’t for the name on his jersey. Those people would find a ton of joy in seeing him suck/slide in the draft.

For me it was the force feeding by the media, you’d think this dude was the second coming of christ the way he was covered. Same **** that happened with Tebow, Manziel, Trae Young (which was the absolute worst), there a million examples. All annoying. You get a lot of fans that way but you also push people away, especially when any dissenting opinion about them is just met with “You’re a hater”

But you’re not wrong in that the worst people we all know are enjoying this for all the wrong reasons.
People were (and still probably are) foaming at the mouth for Arch to be a bust. Great analogy. Arch seems humble and was okay being a backup. Sanders is a self glorified diva.

Its way easier to have the victims mentality though than to man up and take responsibility

There are obviously sick people who hate on others because of race. That’s never going away. Complaining about it is like complaining that the grass is green. Not going to change anything. I’m saying that for Shedur it’s more his persona than anything. People don’t seem to hate Ken Griffey Jr, Vlady Jr, Tatis Jr, or even Kellen Winslow jr for that matter as much as they hate sanders…Al black and grew up with money
Being a fan of the Miami Hurricanes is already a case study in racism imo

If you’ve been a fan for long enough you definitely know the difference between people rooting against the team and people who hate the team because of what they’ve represented

That wasn’t even close to the point

My god some of yall are painful

The point was if Sanders was the clear cut #1 pick like Burrow…or Lawrence…or Cam then he still would have been even if he was taking ***** on these GMs desks
Gotcha..somehow I missed the second paragraph.

An entitled kid who already thinks he's too good to be vetted by his future employers and has been coddled every step of the way by his narcissistic father, a Seminole who talks and acts like his son is the greatest prospect of all time just because he's his is one of the easiest players to root against I could ever imagine.

Hence my original statement that started this whole discussion...

People don't like Uppity N's & Shedeur/Deion have been classified as being uppity.

Nope. That’s some funny ****.
I'm all for when the arrogant get humbled and learn some life lessons, or having a laugh on twitter. But unless that caller was wronged by Sanders personally - that's ****ed up and taking it too far. JMO.

So every NFL team has passed on him multiple times, because they are afraid that bringing him in will scare QB1?

If he would ensure positive outcomes for their businesses they would draft him & figure it out later. Hitting on QB will make their business millions.
Dudes defending him are hilarious its like they know better then all the NFL GMS who sat down, evaluated their time spent with the kid and decided to pass..Now he could have a great career and prove the NFL wrong someday but the signs were very obvious that this free-fall could happen and its not entirely based on his talent or the color of his skin lol..his biggest downfall was his approach to the draft and his old boy, dont know whats so hard for some to process.....

Ali was not the most beloved sports figure in American history until he got diagnosed with Parkinsons & couldn't talk.

In the 60's & 70's, he was anything but beloved.
You’re proving my point. America came a long way and the fact that Ali is the most beloved athlete in American history has nothing to do with race or his health, but with his character

The league is filled with people who don't really know wtf they're doing when it comes to QB's.

No.

I don't think Shedeur's draft stock falling has anything to do with race.

I think the glee & vitriol people have at seeing him humbled & hoping he fails is 100% about race.

My apologies, when you make a blanket statement about people i got confused.. I dont think GMs are passing on the kid to humble him. Im sure youre right some people are happy cus theyre ****** racists. Most people dont like him or the family because of how they act. They could be the color green and thatd would still be a thing

It's about control. They want every player to know the league is about them and the gift they give to players by allowing them to play in the league.

It's clearly not about his talent. There is no world where Milore is a better QB than Sanders...

Let's pretend there is a new rule that says league is only for humble and good guys... How many players get cut tomorrow because of this new rule?

Cleveland... deshaun watson... lol...

These mofos find reasons to keep dudes who beat up their girlfriends. So his crime aint about being a bad person its about being too big.

I actually liked him dropping to the second round. F ESPN for what they did to Cam. I rooted against this kid every game he played but its weird knowing that owners routinely bring in garbage players all the time.

Tyreke is a one of those pieces of garbage but I will be rooting for him... again...
There's alot of ****y, flashy, arrogant, me first dudes playing in the NFL , The problem for sheduer is that those are not desirable traits for an NFL QB whos supposed to be handed the keys to franchise and be a "leader", Whether one wants to call it racism or collusion thats their prerogative but thats just the reality of the business.

For the posters on this site, I would say any Cane fan over the age of 45, absolutely embraced the swagger of the late 80’s early 90’s. And by swagger, a lot of people would and have claimed that Miami was the poster child for uppity during that time frame.
I ******* loved it, told many an SEC fan that felt that way, to suck it and I’m sure the other Cane fans near my age felt the same way.

I’m an old white dude. My favorite Dolphins were Csonka, Manny Fernandez, Tony Nathan, Dan Marino and Nat Moore.
My favorite canes would be Kosar, Walsh, Ward, Ray Lewis, Edge, Portis, Reggie Wayne, Dan Morgan and a few more.
I love athletes with heart and who aren’t built to tolerate losing. Their color is as important to me as their jersey #.
