Sam Bruce Tweets Graphic With Him In An Ohio State Jersey

I know Bruce did not receive an offer from Georgia when Richt was there. A lot of people losing sleep for a 5'8 receiver that average 32 yards per game his senior year at the high school level.

I remember the last time an elite prospect was clowned for being short. We don't need him, he's too short. Lamarcus Joyner, consensus All-American, National champion, Thorpe finalist, and NFL player. All despite being 5'8. Go figure.

I'm just putting facts not clowning anyone. Bottom line is he average 32 yards per game his senior year at the high school level and Richt never offer him while at Georgia.

Bruce's stats senior year
Total Receiving Yards 427
Average Receiving Yards 9.3
Catches 46
Receiving Yards Per Game 32.8
Receiving TDs 4

Some of you are ******* ridiculous.

A high profile recruit drumming up drama leading up to signing day?

What a rare occurrence indeed.

Bruce update from 247:
While Miami’s chances took a hit with the dismissal of Beard, Bruce’s standing with Miami has been on shaky ground since his good friend, class of 2015 recruit Jordan Scarlett, switched his pledge from Miami to Florida last year. Bruce has been a soft commit from that point and has always been exploring his options.

Miami will continue to recruit Bruce. He is scheduled to visit UM on January 29th.

The Miami coaching staff has prepared for the chance that Bruce does not stick in the class by making a push for many slot receivers during the final month. Wide receiver is a huge position of need for the 2016 class as the Hurricanes have just five scholarship players returning at the position.

Miami received a commitment from three-star sleeper Latrell Williams over the weekend, who the UM coaching staff is high on because of his 4.38 speed in the 40 and his productive senior season in which he totaled more than 1,000 receiving yards.

The Hurricanes feel very good about where they stand with four-star Palm Beach Wellington wide receiver Ahmmon Richards and four-star Georgia JUCO wide receiver commit Javon Wims—both of whom visited Miami this past weekend. Richards and Wims are intrigued by the opportunity for early playing time that Miami can give.

This weekend, Miami is set to host productive three-star Georgia wide receiver commit Randrecous Davis and three-star New Jersey wide receiver Kelvin Harmon. On the final weekend before signing day, Miami is also set to host Auburn wide receiver commit Eli Stove.

We create the worst case in our own minds..Shaq has graphics in a Bama Uni..a Auburn uni and a graphic collage that ends up being a poster of him in a Gator uni..Bruce in the graphic doesn't bother me...asking for it on twitter now thats something different. It will all come out in the wash on NSD.. On that day if he is a cane all well and good if not..we will be fine

Didn't Isaac Nauta post a picture of himself in a canes uniform around the time of his unofficial visit?

This is how you NOT get assed out if a mufkr is playing games.

Exactly. Thank god this staff is proactive.

Wow! LOL. I love it. This guy knows what the ***** he is talking about. Because I **** sure was one of those people. Never thought he would be as good as he turned out at 5'8. WR maybe..But not at S.

All that said, people who say we dont need this kid clearly have never seen him play.

Wims is basically off the board.

I am not a fan of Harmon.

I like R Davis but not as an immediate impact kid.

L Williams can help on ST but is he ready to contribute in the two deep come first day of Fall Ball?

Richards is obviously a stud but hes got two more visits to go. Anything can happen.

Mullins scares me because I havent heard one person say that he is 110% in. Buddy sat an entire year of ball out just to get his grades straight and he is still in limbo? I dont know if I even want him here if he cant get straight by now. He will always have academic issues.

If he was 6'2, you wouldn't have mentioned his height. You tried to use his height as one of the reasons we don't need him, in addition to his production during his senior year. The real bottom line is that we are hurting big time at receiver, and I'd be ecstatic to land a kid like this instead of some "sleeper" prospects.

Its still the same point though. Kids do this every year just some ppl are idiots and act pike its the end of the world. Now IMO its just dumb because he seems to want that circus for NSD and hr doesn't have to do all of this but I still think he ends up a Cane

I had no idea his production was so pathetic. Based on the way we're carrying on about him, I just assumed he put up monster numbers to go along with his physical attributes.

Mullins camp says his grades are good now...no reason for them to publicly lie about it...Also I'm pretty sure Jorge Baez could easily find out if he will make it or not.

Really? LMAO. Is this real life? Are you really throwing the mans stats out there like he doesnt play alongside 4-5 other D1 prospects at WR and TE?? Including Trevon Grimes who will probably be a 5* once the dust settles next year?

Teams game planned against this kid to make sure they stopped him and forced the other WRs to beat him. Which is why DHopkins and the other SR WR (name escapes me) both have D1 offers and I believe Hopkins is committed to Illinois.

After the Dillard jamboree where he sliced and diced that secondary, teams had seen enough. They were not going to let him beat them.

This is crazy that we have to actually convince some of these posters that Bruce is the real deal. At this point, let the man go to OSU. And we will just sit back and hope that BBerrios is 100% healthy and ready to become the next "Wes Welker" as many on here said he would become.

I think the big issue with him, is being a high profile guy. If he were to commit and truly mean it he could have really helped swing some guys here. But when he's go all drama it actually hurts us. As other kids are wondering if he will be here or not. I suppose that means those kids care and maybe they do not.

But for me, that is what bothers me. He could be a huge asset as a recruiter. But he is playing the game even though he is supposedly "committed". If you want to play the game, your a take no matter what, there is no reason to commit if you do not truly mean it. That is what I find annoying. If you commit, then your word should mean something. If you want to feel "special" and travel the country then do not commit. Personally, I would love to see a coach come right out and pull his **** ship. It might backfire, but it would also be the precedent that you expect kids to be true to their word. And I think it would be good in the long run... Maybe I am delusional and it would just turn kids off...

Anyone who downplays this kid's talent is laughable and borderline retarded. Is he going to be the primary X, Julio Jones type receiver? No. Can we use him on returns (which have been terrible lately), in the slot, gadget plays, etc.? Yes! We need play makers at EVERY position. On another note, this is a kid that has been committed for over a year and is a big time SFL recruit that we need to close on. Stop playing and realize that this is a kid we need to pull or find someone comparable to replace him. Perception is reality a lot of times in recruiting. This kid, for better or for worse, has been the face of our class. I can't just brush off losing one of our most prominent recruits because he's 5'8.
