I think Gus was good at first when we needed to weed out a lot of players from the Golden regime. He was like a drill sergeant and led more by intimidation. He never really changed that approach over time and players stopped respecting him. I didn’t like that all of our workouts were HIIT workouts. It’s good for cardio but everyone stayed stagnant or got weaker overall.
Them boys did 33 110’s this AM
That’s crazy
I’m all for doing everything we can to push guys mentally to their breaking points but arbitrary numbers of 110s are also really dumb. Very rare you’re running that long at once in a game and that amount of reps destroys your form, and can actually hinder your speed development
Thats crazy to see peoples numbers go down and keep doing the same thing.
Stick to being an agent
Your body adapts quickly which slows growth and lowers strength. The muscle needs to be confused in order to grow and get stronger.
Didn't Richt push for this? I've heard a lot of people credit Richt for changing up the nutrition program but don't know the entire storyKyle Bellamy........this guy had to basically ask the administration to create a job for him. He had finished baseball and gotten his degree
In exercise science with a concentration in nutrition. Blows my mind how a DIVISION 1 college football program can be so inept. Smh.
Go watch his video......
His first step and short area quickness is absurd.
There were a lot of shenanigans with Miller's recruiting, a LOT. Not by UM. He was not/is not a roster filler.

300-yard shuttles…Sixteen 110-yard sprints…”Gassers”… For as long as I’ve been alive, the above three drills have been considered the ‘Gold Standard’ in football conditioning. I have no clue how these “tests” came about or why they just won’t go away. But, hopefully this blog post will start...www.defrancostraining.com
Why Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey trains like a track athlete in the offseason
Christian McCaffrey is a workhorse who moves like a racehorse. The Carolina Panthers running back totaled 326 touches in 2018, third-most in the NFL, galloping his way to 1,965 yards from scrimmage and second-team All-Pro honors. He clocked a 4.48 40-Yard Dash at the NFL Combine and is known as...www.americanfootballinternational.com
He might need to stick to being an agent - it is his job after all - but you definitely need to read more on speed/performance training because you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Would not be surprised if he out performs Nesta.
40s-60s work better, I don’t really have a problem with 110s but 33 of them is stupid. Train smarter not harderI’m familiar with Defranco. Trained at his gym in Wyckoff ages ago.
110s work. Period.
Multiple players posted itIs it even confirmed they ran 33 of them or are we basing this solely off if a post here?
